Factual error: At the beginning of the movie, we find out that Holly and Gerri were married when she was 19. She then turns 30, so at least 11 years have passed since the day that they met. However, when Holly sees Gerri in the pub on the day that they meet, he sings "The Galway Girl". This song was not written by Steve Earl until 2000, and they must have met sometime around the year 1996.
P.S. I Love You (2007)
1 factual error - chronological order
Continuity mistake: After Holly and Gerry’s argument near the start, when Gerry begins his little dance in boxers, as he removes his leather jacket one of the back suspender clasps comes undone. When he lies down beside Holly, both back clasps are on properly. (00:10:45)
Holly Kennedy: Dear Gerry, you said you wanted me to fall in love again, and maybe one day I will. But there are all kinds of love out there. This is my one and only life, And it's a great and terrible and short and endless thing, and none of us come out of it alive. I don't have a plan... Except, it's time my mom laughed again. She has never seen the world... She has never seen Ireland. So, I'm taking her back where we started... Maybe now she'll understand. I don't know how you did it, but you brought me back from the dead. I'll write to you again soon. P.S... Guess what?
Trivia: In one of the letters that Gerry sends Holly about choosing a future career he says "and there's no such thing as a Vampire Slayer". Funny statement since one of the stars of the film is James Marsters, who is famous for his role as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
