Factual error: Troy has several chains attached to his body, of which two are attached to his Achilles tendons. This is the structure of the leg that allows you to stand and move, so as soon as he ripped them out, he would have fallen over and been unable to walk.

Continuity mistake: Just before Amanda shoots Lynn her gun switches from her right hand to her left.
Trivia: Before release, Donnie Whalberg was reported to have dropped out of "Saw III" (after having starred in "Saw II"), and it was widely stated that he would not appear in the film. However, it was later revealed that these reports were just a ruse to keep the public from knowing that he actually would appear in the film.
