Corrected entry: The straw in Jigsaw's drink is on the opposite side of the glass during the flashbacks when he's telling Amanda that it was actually her test. (During the scene at the start of the movie it was at the front of the glass, during the flashback it's at the back of the glass).

Nick Bylsma

Correction: The flashbacks are of events that happened much earlier, and he might have taken a sip from the straw since then, so it makes sense the straw is not in the same place.

Corrected entry: As Jigsaw is dying there is a shot of him slowly closing his eyes and there's no tear or anything. The shot cuts to Jeff for an instant (less than a second), then back to Jigsaw, and there's a tear and a tear run all the way down his cheek. There wasn't enough time for him to cry it out.

Nick Bylsma

Correction: Tears do not always more slowly. They can move quite fast, and move down your face in less than a second, so this is actually possible.

Corrected entry: When Lynn is shaving Jigsaw's head it is extremely obvious that she's not actually cutting his hair. The clippers come nowhere near his scalp. (01:03:40)

Nick Bylsma

Correction: Thats because Jigsaws hair is thick and fluffy. You must thin the hair before cutting at the root or you risk painful catching and jamming of the clippers in the thicker hair, trust me, I shave my own head. It happens a lot in the cheaper models of clippers, and everything Jigsaw uses is cheap, found, self-made and often very old and even sometimes rusty.

Corrected entry: Amanda's flashback scene shows Jigsaw placing her in the chair, then putting the first part of the "Reverse Venus Flytrap" device in her mouth. She has no black lipstick on in those shots, but she was wearing black lipstick during that scene in the original Saw. Later, during the flashback, you see her coming out of the building and she has the black lipstick on.

Nick Bylsma

Correction: I've watched the scene several times and paused on the one specific shot showing Amanda's lips and the black lipstick can be seen as Jigsaw tilts her head back.

Corrected entry: When setting the bathroom trap, John looks in the mirror and says 'It's time to start our game." One would think he's saying this to Amanda, but he says, "Zep, its time to start our game." The word Zep has been removed.

Correction: You cannot see Jigsaw mouth the word "Zep." It looks more like he is simply sighing before delivering his line.

Corrected entry: At the end of "Saw II", Larry's sawn-off foot is green and moldy like the corpses of Adam and Zep. Yet in this movie, only a few minutes after being locked in, Eric looks at Gordon's foot, and it is now orange bronze.

Correction: Untrue. It appears slightly orange/bronze simply because of the weak flashlight that is being used to illuminate it. Should the regular lights have come on, it would look greenish and rotted as it did in "Saw II."

Corrected entry: After the guy's left leg snaps there is a shot of his face and you can easily tell that he's passed out. His mouth is slightly open, his head is tilted to the side, and his eyes are rolled back into his head.but less than 10 seconds later his head starts being cranked and he's wide awake. It's debatable whether he'd even stay awake through this entire experience in the first place, your body will shut down after hitting a certain pain threshold, and breaking most of the major bones in the body would probably do that. That fact aside, if he did finally pass out, it would take more than 10 seconds to be fully awake and aware of your surroundings.

Nick Bylsma

Correction: Already submitted and corrected.

Corrected entry: All of the ground up rotten pig that is shown splashing over the judge is extremely liquid, yet in one of the last scenes of the judge still padlocked down you can see lots of solid chunks floating in the goop. There's no way that those big chunks could have made it through all of the blades, some of them even look too large to have been able to fit through the hole that the liquid was coming from.

Nick Bylsma

Correction: Watching the scene, it is obvious that those types of blades could not completly liquify the pigs, so there deffinitly should be large chunks in the vat. Also, none of the chunks are too big that they couldn't have fit through the hole.

Corrected entry: It's been mentioned that Eric throws his light at Amanda in Saw 2 but it roles back to him. He actually throws the tape recorder because he cant reach his light or gun in this movie.

Correction: I see no mistake in this entry. He throws the tape recorder at Amanda just for the sake of throwing something at her. He has not yet had time to go for the gun and flashlight, which he does at the start of this movie. There is no mistake here.

Corrected entry: As Matthews rounds the corner (during the flashback when he's looking for Danny) you can see the mic antenna sticking up out of his jeans. (01:34:00)

Nick Bylsma

Correction: Or it could be his police walkie talkie.

Corrected entry: When Jeff plays the tape in the freezer, Jigsaw mentions that Danica Scott fled the scene after witnessing his son's death. If so, then how does he know who she is if she never testified against Timothy at his trial? There would be no way for Jigsaw to have known who she is or to find her.

Correction: Jigsaw seems to know a lot of things about a lot of people. How did he know about the original wreck? I assume it means that he was there when the accident happened, that's a very plausible assumption.

Nick Bylsma

Corrected entry: During the 'brain surgery' scene, John has a flashback. In one part you see him filming a woman. The camcorder he is using is a 2006 model. It looks an awful lot like a European Sony Hc 44 model only with the brand taped off. Since he doesn't looks that sick in this flashback, is should be before the original Saw dated 2004.

Correction: Well we don't know what year the movies take place in so its not a mistake.

Corrected entry: Kerry's hands are above her head when she first comes into the room where the guy was chained up. The detective says "it's not detective Matthews" and she slowly starts to lower her arms, but they are still above her head. The shot cuts in to a close-up of her and you can tell by her shoulder position that her arms are already down by her sides. (00:06:00)

Nick Bylsma

Correction: Not a mistake. Just watch and you can see her lower her arms.

Ssiscool

Corrected entry: When Jeff finds the dummy, the position of its head changes during different shots.

Correction: The dummy's head turns because it is motorized and probably being controlled by Amanda back at the "headquarters."

Corrected entry: In the "twisting machine" scene, Jeff reaches for a key in a glass box. At the other end of the box is a shotgun, its trigger tied to the string that the key is on. The man removes the key but accidentally triggers the shotgun. The blast only grazes him, but it obliterates the judge standing behind him. Considering where both men were standing, Jeff should have got more of the blast than he did.

Correction: You can see Jeff moving away just in time not to be hit.

Mortug

Corrected entry: In the final part of the film where it's showing flashbacks of Amanda and Jigsaw planning their traps, we see a scene that shows Jigsaw setting up Lawrence's trap. After he's put the blood on his face and goes to lie down, we see him put both his arms out away from his body. However, in the first film, he had his arm underneath him because he used it to secretly electrocute the first two victims.

Correction: In the first film, John has his arms spread out. One hand holding the gun. The other, a tape player. It was speculated that he had the transmitter for electrocution in his mouth. Watch the first film again and you'll see what I mean.

Corrected entry: In the freezer scene, the woman freezes over between two shots, with no time in between to account for her freezing over like that.

Correction: Freezing isn't a delayed thing. She had enough water sprayed on her and it was so cold in there to freeze instantly. It is entirely possible for that to happen.

moviemogul

Corrected entry: At the very beginning of the film it picks up where Saw II left-off, with Eric Mason chained to the pipes in the bathroom and Amanda leaving him there to die. Eric has a flashlight and a handgun just out of reach, however at the end of Saw II he threw the flashlight at Amanda as she closed the door meaning it should be on the other side of the room.

Correction: The flashlight could have very well rolled back if Eric threw it hard enough.

moviemogul

Corrected entry: The doctor drills holes into Jigsaws skull but when she removes the piece of skull, the holes have disappeared.

Correction: That's because she used the saw to cut from hole to hole, thereby getting rid of the holes. The holes were there just as starting and ending points for the saw.

moviemogul

Corrected entry: When the woman is frozen, the ice forms way-too-thick a layer around her too quickly to be realistic.

Correction: Depending upon the temperature of the water being sprayed, and the temperature of the room, the ice could certainly form that fast. Having lived in Norway, I have seen ocean spray freeze instantly on cars.

wizard_of_gore

Revealing mistake: When Eric Matthews is smashing his foot, he hits it the first time and it shows a close up. If you watch the small amount of blood when he hits it again they have used the same shot. (00:04:00)

Trivia: The camera moves from Troy's crime scene to Kerry in the bathtub in one shot - Dina Meyer had to run around the set, undress, and jump into the tub. If you look closely, you can still see the water moving from when she jumped in.

Question: So in this film, through the flashbacks, we learn a lot about the previous films. However, with all that is known, why does Jigsaw leave Adam in the bathroom and close the door? He says game over - did Adam fail? Is the suffocation by Amanda the punishment for failing?

blinkrockshow281

Answer: Adam didn't just lose because he let the key get drowned. He had the two hacksaws and he broke his own in a hurry. And there was also the toilet lid that he could have used to smash his foot like Eric did in Saw III. Jigsaw never said that improvising or thinking outside the box was against the rules. So even if you wipe the key out of the equation, Adam still has at least two other ways to release himself from the chains.

hsssjusuh

Answer: It was too late for Adam to solve the game the way he was intended to- the key went down the drain, which Jigsaw actually didn't intend to happen. Adam's key was meant to be tied around his neck in such a way that neither him nor Lawrence would be able to see, and Adam would be allowed to go free and escape if he were to locate the key- which would only be possible if he looked at himself. The whole idea behind his puzzle was "looking at himself instead of others, for a change." The reason it went down the drain instead, was because of Amanda, who continuously made traps unsolvable. Instead of tying it around him like Jigsaw asked, she just tossed it on his chest, which defeated the whole purpose. Also, he was given a saw just as Lawrence was, as a much more violent plan B, another way he could save his own life.

That doesn't make sense because Jigsaw told Adam that the key is in the bathtub at the end of the movie.

Answer: In Saw III, Jigsaw states that he "despises murderers", so when Adam tried to shoot him, in his eyes, he just attempted murder. There is also the fact that Adam killed Zep as well, so maybe Jigsaw regarded that as straight-up killing.

Chosen answer: Jigsaw most likely decided to leave Adam in the room in case Gordon didn't shoot him. Adam wasn't the one who failed, it was Gordon. He simply decided to leave him in there, the easy way out. As for his suffocation, Jigsaw already mentions Amanda's emotional side also being her weakness. While Adam was meant to die after a certain amount of time, Amanda's emotions got the best of her and so she decided to mercy kill him.

erikvduyn

Answer: Well Jigsaw told Adam that the key to his chains was in the bathtub, without knowing he pulled the plug, drowning the key with it. However, he could have responded instead of trying to shoot Jigsaw. After that, he most likely came to the conclusion that Adam didn't learn his lesson. And Amanda coming back to kill him is most likely a mercy kill, though it's not confirmed.
