Goldeneye

Revealing mistake: In the opening scene when Bond is shown running up to the spot from where he will bungee jump, it is not Pierce Brosnan but his stunt double. You can also see a smudge on the camera lens in the same shot. It starts out on the wall on the left and moves downward onto the asphalt and stops just to the left of where Bond drops the bungee cable. (00:01:05)

Revealing mistake: During the shot where Bond and Alec are emerging from the hallway floor in the dam compound, watch the left wall. As Bond bumps against it after pulling out his pistol, it visibly flexes inwards and pops back out. A concrete wall capable of supporting the weight of a dam with industrial-grade pipes wouldn't flex in like that; it's quite a thin wooden set made up as such. (00:04:25)

Revealing mistake: When Trevelyan shoots with an automatic gun in the chemical weapon factory, there's some shots where the flame doesn't come from the gun itself. There's some device producing the flame beside it. (00:05:40)

Dr Wilson

Revealing mistake: In the pre-title sequence, there is a shot just after Bond leaves the Russian facility while escaping. In the shot, there is a plane moving, and in the background, Bond is standing and aiming his gun at the plane. The person appearing isn't Brosnan; he is a stunt double. The stunt double's face is visible on Blu-ray. He's noticeable even without stopping the movie. (00:08:20)

Revealing mistake: In the airfield outside the chemical weapon factory, James Bond hits a man with a motorcycle. He flies in the air before the impact and it's obviously a dummy. (00:08:40)

Dr Wilson

Revealing mistake: At the beginning when Bond is chasing the plane on the motorbike, in the last shot of Bond from behind before he goes over the cliff, the background shot of the mountains is a painting. Not only can you see the square sections on the wall, but some parts of the painting don't even match. (00:09:25)

Revealing mistake: In the scene containing Q describing the operation of the "grenade" pen to Bond, Q is not looking at Bond and appears to be being cued. With careful observation you can see Q's eyes reading the cards. Also, his actions/reactions do not seem fluid but abrupt as he reads to a point where he must do an action of some sort and he performs it suddenly. Much of the scene is shot from a profile view of Q and Bond so as to reduce the obviousness of it (mostly during the longer dialog pieces for Q). (00:49:30)

Revealing mistake: Whilst in Q's workshop, Bond places his envelope on Q's X-Ray Document scanner. If you pay close attention to the screen (it's easy to notice anyway) his flight ticket has got VOID written on it 4 times... (00:51:54)

Revealing mistake: When Bond takes Xenia off the hot coals and throws her onto the floor in the sauna, you can see that "Xenia" is a dummy. (01:03:40)

Revealing mistake: Just before Bond and Natalya are ejected from the Tiger, a mid-range shot reveals a pair of dummies in their place. (01:12:15)

Revealing mistake: When the tank first drives through the wall at the start of the chase, track marks are visible on the road ahead of it. (01:17:30)

Revealing mistake: During the tank chase, there is an overhead shot of the tank sliding round a corner. In this shot you can see scars in the road from a previous take. (01:19:40)

Revealing mistake: In the tank chase when the police cars and military jeeps crash on each other, just before the camera goes to view the tank, you can see the dummies in the police cars. (01:20:00)

Revealing mistake: When Oumarov tells his driver to go left just after Bond has obtained the statue on his tank, there is a shot of the tank with Bond stood up driving. However, it is not Pierce Brosnan. (01:21:00)

Ssiscool

Revealing mistake: As Bond is chasing the car in the tank, as he makes a right turn, and the skid marks of a previous take are seen on the pavement. (01:22:05)

Movie Nut

Revealing mistake: One of the cars that gets crushed by a tank has an obvious dummy in it. The camera lingers on it to show it bouncing rigidly up again after being run over. (01:23:29)

Revealing mistake: When the roof of the train opens so the helicopter can take off, it shakes a lot. It doesn't really look armored. (01:27:05)

Dr Wilson

Revealing mistake: When James Bond is cutting the floor of the train with his laser watch, there's a faint outline of some kind of explosives that creates the sparkles. (01:28:30)

Revealing mistake: During the draining of the water in the dish, some shots show the water moving backwards. For instance, at a particular moment, masses of water jump up, arc toward the opening, and fall in it. The most likely reason is that, during the filming, the special effects people took a shot of a replica of the dish filling with water, then edited it the other way to show that the water was emptied from the dish. (01:42:00)

Revealing mistake: At the scene where Alec Trevelyan and Bond are fighting on the antenna cradle, there is one shot (about 1 second in length) where you can see the face of the stunt double. This occurs just after Bond rolls down the stairs, and we see a shot of Trevelyan putting a new magazine in his gun. The double jumps over the edge of the platform, and then Brosnan is in the room with the huge chain drive thing that moves the antenna. (01:53:00)

[Bond puts his gun against Valentin Zukovsky's head.]
Valentin Zukovsky: Walther PPK. Seven point six five millimeter. Only three men I know use such a gun. I believe I've killed two of them.

Trivia: The "dish" in "Cuba" isn't some prop designed for the film, nor is it in Cuba. It's actually the Arecibo Observatory, an antenna in Puerto Rico designed to look into space for radio waves and other signs of intelligent life.

Question: If the opening scene was staged to get 007 to surrender, then it seems it was a terrible plan. Look how many Russians got killed by Bond and 006. It seems very awkward that the whole thing was staged. Why did Bond need to surrender? Why couldn't 006 just shoot him (besides the usual reason that 007 must be executed through an overly involved and escape-riddled plan) What would they do with him once he was captured? Too many questions and a weird scenario.

Answer: The plan was not to capture 007, it was to stage 006's death. Trevelyan's long-term goal was to steal money from the Bank of England and cover it up using the GoldenEye satellite - he presumably did not have time to run the Janus Syndicate and implement this very elaborate plan whilst serving as a full-time MI6 officer. In fact, it was probably the intention that Bond should escape and tell the British government that 006 had died a hero's death.
