Continuity mistake: In the museum, Clouseau is holding the glove in his left hand and the pincers in his left. He manages to attack himself with the pincers and then the items are suddenly in opposite hands. (00:34:00)
Continuity mistake: Towards the end when Clouseau gets into bed with the girl you can see that he is wearing briefs. When he falls into the lake he is wearing boxer shorts.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau is repairing Sir Charles's doorbell, he takes out several tools including a hammer. He tries several times to stop the ringing with the hammer, then sets it down. The shot changes to show the butler in the doorway, and when it returns to Clouseau, he is suddenly holding the hammer again.
Continuity mistake: Clouseau and the doorman are stuck in the sauna, and Clouseau draws on the window to see out as it is streamed up. The level of steam on the window changes during this sequence.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau has the vacuum cleaner pipe stuck on the masseuse, you can see that the bellboy is in front of the changing screen but in the next shot he is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau is speaking to the blind beggar outside the bank, the beggar's fingers on the accordion change positions between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau poses as a telephone repair man and gets stuck under Sir Charles Litton's desk, there are items on the desktop. But when Clouseau turns the desk upside down, the items that were on the desktop are now on the floor and the desktop is completely clear.
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau poses as a German cleaner he sees a blue lamp and there is a light bulb in front of it, but in the next scene, the bulb has suddenly moved to the side of the lamp.
