Audio problem: The second time he's in Geiger's house, Marlowe goes into several rooms and turns on a light switch as he snoops around. The light does not come on until a fraction of a second after the switch has been thrown, and the sound of the switch being thrown does not happen until after his hand stops moving. (00:28:30)

Audio problem: As she sits on his desk talking about Carmen, Lauren Bacall says to Marlowe, "Norris fixed that, she was in all evening". This line is over dubbed, if you look closely at her lips she's obviously saying something else. (00:34:10)

Audio problem: Marlowe walks into a room at Eddie Mars' place where Lauren Bacall and some other people are singing. If you look closely at their lips when he first walks in they're singing something else and they're out of sync with what we are hearing. (01:06:35)

Audio problem: As Marlowe walks over to Eddie Mars' room the buzzer over dub doesn't ring when the hostess pushes it and continues after the hostess takes her hand off of it. (01:07:50)

Audio problem: In the bar Marlowe says to Mars' thugs, "Yeah, Mrs. Rutledge wants to see me". But his lips doesn't match what he's saying. (01:10:55)

Audio problem: Marlowe fakes a flat and let's the air of his front drivers side tire. They over-dub the of the sound of the air rushing out for several seconds and then all of a sudden the car drops. (01:34:10)

Other mistake: Marlowe fires several shots at Art Huck and Lash Canino but if you look at the chamber when he takes the gun out from under the dashboard, there are no bullets in it. (01:41:45)
