Continuity mistake: When Whitney points the gun at Benedict, her arms change position between shots.
Continuity mistake: During the car chase when Danny is in movie-world, Jack is firing the thugs and his hair moves a lot during the wide angle, but barely at all a frame later in the close-up.
Continuity mistake: When Benedict pulls Leo's finger at the funeral to start the timer on the wristwatch, you can see that the timer was pre-set for ten minutes on the upper part of the display and the countdown is in the lower part of the display. There are two more shots of the countdown on the watch. First at 3:32 left when Jack knocks out the doctor and then at about 30 seconds left over the tar pits. Both of these shots show that a piece of silver tape has been applied to the upper half of the display, probably to cover a lower starting count so they wouldn't have to wait 10 minutes between shots. (01:07:50 - 01:18:05)
Revealing mistake: When Jack Slater is about to play chicken with the guys in the pickup truck, it's a stunt driver. (00:30:55)
Continuity mistake: When Benedict is getting away from Jack's daughter's house he gets into a white car, but when Jack shoots him the car is black.
Suggested correction: It's the same car the whole time. The car he gets into is black, but the way the camera picks up the light that hits part of the door does fade out of the color some, but you can see the rest is black.
Continuity mistake: The chopper lights a bright laser light that reflects on Jack's forehead. When the crane behind appears, the light disappears, yet in the immediate close-up of Jack's face the beam reflection is still there.
Revealing mistake: When Arnie is talking to himself as actor Jack Slater, right when he says "You're the best look-alike I've seen" his eyes are looking slightly sideways, away from Jack, and not where they should. Obviously Arnie was talking to an empty place but missed.
Continuity mistake: When Danny's mom is asking him why he missed school, the purse's strap on the table behind changes positions between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: At the end when the projector starts by itself and lights are going crazy, in one of the windows of the projection room, a hand holding a light (making it move) can be seen. Look at the farthest left window.
Continuity mistake: When Jack is being chased and the guys in the red pick up truck are throwing dynamite at him, they throw one that hits a parked car just as Jack makes a hard left turn. The next shot has the car exploding and Jack having made a hard right turn.
Continuity mistake: When Jack s shooting at the chopper from inside the elevator, its door has bits of remaining glass around the sides, which disappear from the chopper's POV. This changes back and forth.
Continuity mistake: When a prostitute walks to Benedict and opens her coat, when the angle changes her right arm and hand are in a different position, plus a guy is suddenly right behind her.
Continuity mistake: When Arnie's car is parked with the thugs in front, and he is pressing the gas pedal while Danny sits behind encouraging him, there's a wide angle of the car and Danny is completely gone, only to reappear in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: When Danny ties his mom's tie, her collar swaps from raised to lowered between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Vivaldi is interrogating Frank, the ropes around him are tied differently depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Jack and Danny enter the video store a sign on the door reads Acme Video, yet inside there's a huge "Blockbuster Video" sign.
Continuity mistake: When Arnie drives towards the red truck, their distance to the boxes increases/decreases randomly with no logic whatsoever.
Continuity mistake: Jack is inside the elevator after the chopper has killed the mobsters. He's got glass all over him, but when the angle changes to a wide shot the bits of glass are gone.
Continuity mistake: When Arnie drives fast towards the thugs' red truck, the alley swaps from being sunny to being in shadows, back and forth.
Continuity mistake: Arnie heads for the funeral, crosses the road, the pond, and drives up a hill and stops. When the angle changes, two columns have suddenly appeared behind the car.
