Continuity mistake: Cyrus gets thrown onto the slicing wheels and his body parts scatter. We see where his torso is in an overhead shot, but in one side shot of the room his torso has vanished from the same spot. When this happens, not a single drop of blood manages to hit the kidnapped siblings, despite the fact that a man was just dismembered just a few feet above their heads. With nothing stopping such a bloody mess from happening, the pair should not be as clean as they are. The machine is also free of blood. (01:20:05)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Shannon Elizabeth is attacked by the ghost she has scratches on her face, then when they are all sitting huddled in the corner the next shot of her, there are no scratches on her face. (01:30:01)

Other mistake: When everyone is looking for Bobby, Matthew Lillard says that it is no use shouting because the glass is 100% sound proof. Yet when he is trapped in the cage, he hears Maggie screaming directions for him to dodge the ghost - not sound proof at all then.

Phoebe

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film in the scrapyard, we are shown a car suspended by the grab crane. When the Juggernaut appears and all starts to go wrong, the same car drops and barely misses the psychic. Later, we once again see the car suspended in the grab crane.

Other mistake: When Dennis jumps out from behind the glass wall shield, leaving Arthur behind it and The Hammer and Juggernaut ghosts attack, Arthur bangs the glass yelling as if he can't get out; but the wall shield is only propped up, unsupported and should've fallen straight forwards when he thudded his fists on it.

Visible crew/equipment: Halfway through the movie (when the gears start moving) the glass doors begin to close. It appears that a set of four hands are closing them in the top portion of the screen.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where the psychic and the father are walking through the halls carrying the plate of glass as protection, you can see the trees outside blowing in the wind. Earlier, they showed that all the windows in the house closed up, making it impossible to see outside.

Continuity mistake: One of the ghosts (Juggernaut) appears before it has been released. Juggernaut is the last ghost being released, yet we can briefly see him disappear when Rafkin is looking for Bobby.

Suggested correction: When Rafkin is looking for Bobby he almost sees Cyrus turning a corner.

Continuity mistake: When the psychic is being attacked, the father behind the glass goes from his hands up with his head down and turned to standing straight watching the attack between shots.

Cybermoose

Continuity mistake: At the end when all the ghosts are gathered, it shows them rotating. After the counting, some ghosts change position. The torn prince first stands next to the angry princess, but later they are a few places away from each other, just like the horrible child and the dire mother.

Rafkin: Oh. Oh, boy.
Maggie: What?
Rafkin: Uh, that's the symbol of the Jackal.
Maggie: What's the Jackal?
Rafkin: The Jackal is the Charlie Manson of ghosts. And if the Jackal's out, screw the kid! We gotta get out of this basement.

Trivia: While the Withered Lover is stated to be proactive for the side of good, two other ghosts are never seen actually attacking or scaring someone. The First Born Son is more of a taunter and prankster, though the Torso seems to be more or less harmless as he doesn't even hurt Cyrus. The Dire Mother is also seen as harmless by herself, but she is accompanied by her disabled son Harold who carries an axe for protection.

Question: In the film we see one ghost that is more of a neutral spirit. It is never seen harming anyone and the only time it scares someone is when it walks towards Bobby, but his head is near Bobby. Is the Torso a murderous spirit or not?

Answer: No, it isn't that they're evil, but all were victims of violent crime. They're all tortured souls.

Answer: They all have the potential for danger, however some of them are not dangerous. I would say the Torso is not a murderous spirit, though potentially he could be one.
