Factual error: The prison bus manages to utterly defy physics. Scott throws a grenade which detonates by the rear left wheel. However, the bus then rolls over toward where the explosion occurred, not away as it should have done.

Continuity mistake: After Veronica's car crashes, she is seen on a CCTV screen showing her ID. Half a second later, when the angle changes, her hairstyle is different.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: After escaping from the motel, Luc and Veronica buckle up. Minutes later they pull the car over and in the wide angle you can see that neither he nor Veronica is buckled up. Then in the close-up they're buckled up again.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: Veronica and his mate arrive to the military base, pull over and chat. From her window the scenery is dark and still, but from his it's daylight and the car is moving.

Sacha

Other mistake: When Lundgren throws a grenade at a Vietnamese woman, although the camera is always focused on her, the grenade is never seen falling. There's just a sudden explosion next to a bunch of bushes and debris, most surely where the pyrotechnics were hidden.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Luc is in the tub covered with ice bags, a bag appears next to his armpit in the close-ups, but disappears in the wide angles.

Sacha

Revealing mistake: During the shooting in the motel, when Luc goes through the second wall it's an obvious cardboard prop.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the waitress asks Van Damme if he's got money to pay for the food, the position of her left arm and hands keeps changing between angles (bent, raised, lowered).

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the huge truck is pushing the prison bus towards the cliff with Luc on top, Luc disappears in the wide angles, and magically appears in the close-ups.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Lundgren bombs the prison bus, the aerial shots and the close-ups have nothing in common: In the aerial the bus is in a very narrow space next to a huge cliff, with nothing around but sand and rocks. In the first close-up the bus is rolling in a wide field, no sign of the cliff. In the second close-up a wooden fence and a house-shaped sign suddenly appear, only to disappear in the third close-up.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: The prison bus has a huge blood splatter next to the driver's seat, which changes to a line of blood seconds later.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Lundgren flies through the car's window, several chunks of glass remain attached to the window frame sticking out, however half a second later they are gone.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: Veronica arrives at the motel, talks to the manager, points at the phone booth and lowers her hand. When the angle changes her hand is still raised and pointing at the phone booth.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: During the fight in the diner, before a man flies through a window you can see the window is already broken in pieces.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Van Damme is talking Lundgren into saving the innocent couple's lives, there's a wall to the right that disappears in the wide angle.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: A guy lands on the pool table and covers up all the balls with his body. Therefore the close-up where a bunch of balls come out of nowhere and get inside the hole is senseless (well, the entire movie is, but you know what I mean).

Sacha

Continuity mistake: Van Damme is in Vietnam and finds his dead friend, whose head position swaps from being straight to sideways between the first and second angle.

Sacha

Revealing mistake: When Van Damme punches the cook at the diner, a waitress is inches away laughing and totally distracted, but she manages to duck in perfect sync in a tenth of a millisecond when the punch is coming, revealing the fight is a choreography.

Sacha

Veronica: I figured you had to be French or something because of your accent.
Luc: What accent?
