Continuity mistake: Whilst Kurt's teacher is giving a lecture, just as the teacher says "At first, it will lead to being subsidized", to the left of the shot, the student sitting next to Kurt is with his hand raised to his mouth and biting onto a pencil. Continuity mistake: When Kurt is in Carl's office, he is shown looking at a corner before Carl comes into the office. When Carl opens the door, Kurt turns his head to the right to face Carl. When the shot cuts, his body is positioned so that he is directly facing Carl. (01:20:45)

Continuity mistake: Just after Carl looks at Kurt's painting of him, he steps away from Kurt and leaves the office. In the shot of Carl stepping away, the two paint brushes he is holding are held right next to each other. In the next shot, the paint brushes are much further apart. (01:22:15)

In the next shot, they suddenly jump back a few feet and walk past the man a second time. (01:24:48)

Character mistake: The tour guide inside the "Degenerate art" exhibition ridicules the 'child-like' paintings of the likes of Mondrian and Kandinsky. In particular he stands in front of Kandinsky "Upward." The German name of the work is "Empor", but the tag says "Empore." (00:03:40)
