Continuity mistake: When the T-1000 is on the police car's trunk, the hole he produces on the windshield increases and decreases in size between shots. (01:02:40)
Continuity mistake: When the T-800, Sarah and John are escaping the mental hospital in the elevator the T-1000 stabs through the top and cuts Sarah in the back. Later when are driving away from the hospital in the police car Sarah hugs John. When the camera shows Sarah's back her shirt is torn but the wound itself is gone. (01:03:10 - 01:06:45)
Continuity mistake: When the T-800 and Connors are leaving the hospital in the car driving backwards, the car jumps off a grassy embankment and lands hard on the asphalt, knocking the rear bumper loose to a hanging position. A few shots later the bumper is back on snug again. (01:04:50)
Continuity mistake: The T-1000 has the gun holster on his left side and takes the gun out with his left hand when the guard in the psych ward hits the alarm. A few scenes later when the T-800 (Arnie) asks Sarah to 'come with me if you want to live' the T-1000 walks through the cell doors, the holster is on the right hand side and the gun in his right hand. (01:10:00 - 01:12:00)
Suggested correction: The T-1000 can change shape at will so it is safe to say the he changed hands with the gun and switched its holster to suit. The T-1000 uses both hands throughout the film to hold and shoot his gun.
I am not sure if the holster has changed to his right-hand side at all - isn't that just his walkie-talkie, which was there all along? Very few clear shots of his belt in that sequence though. I hate speculative explanations but if it's just the gun changing hands, that doesn't sound too serious... Could just be for opening a door.
Continuity mistake: This is during the Special Edition's chip removal scene. There is a point where the shot is of the Terminator's POV. In the foreground a pair of pliers moves vertically through the frame. However, in the "reflection," Sarah Conner is already tinkering with the Terminator's head. Apparently Linda Hamilton (who played Sarah) and her twin sister were out of synch for that shot. (01:11:00)
Continuity mistake: In the desert when John says "bad example", he turns round and his hair has changed. It goes from in his eyes to neat and by the side of his face. (01:12:30)
Continuity mistake: When in the desert after resetting the switch, the Terminator breaks a car window with some glass still there. Camera does an instant cut, and the broken glass has changed. (01:13:25)
Continuity mistake: When the Terminator smashes the driver's window of the blue station wagon, there is a large section of glass at the top of the door that is stuck in the runner of the door. In the next shot as the Terminator is closing the door, this same section of glass is now missing. Not enough time has passed in the shots for it to disappear and there's no sound of it dropping. (01:13:25)
Continuity mistake: The computer that the T-1000 reads in the police car (at the beginning) reads that John is 10 years old and was born in February of 1985. Which means that the movie would have to take place in 1995 (2 years before Judgment Day). Yet Arnold claims in the car, (while driving towards Mexico) that Judgment Day would happen in 3 years, just after the Skynet funding bill is passed by congress. (01:14:20)
Continuity mistake: When John Connor holds the Terminator's jacket up to the light in the shed in Mexico it's full of holes. You see the back of it when they leave (to chase Sarah) and there are no holes. (01:30:25)
Continuity mistake: When Sarah carves "No Fate" into the desk, the tip of the knife curves toward her, then you see it facing away, then when John grabs it from the desk its tip is back toward him. (01:32:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sarah Connor shoots Dyson in his house, it pans back and forth from him to her. In each shot of Dyson in his living room, the magazines on the coffee table are scattered, then stacked, then scattered again. Also, if you look at the blood on his shoulder, it is very heavy in one shot and very scarce in the next. (01:33:55)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sarah has just shot Dyson and she is crying against the wall, John comes up to her and starts hugging her. Every time the scene changes back to the hugging, look at John's watch. The time changes every time. (01:35:20)
Continuity mistake: When the T-800 is walking down the corridor at Dyson's workplace, how far he is down the hall keeps changing depending on the shot. (01:38:40)
Continuity mistake: When the T-1000 is entering Dyson's house, he hears on the police radio that Sarah Connor is at "2144 Kramer." Later, just as the police show up at Cyberdyne's offices, the voice over the radio gives the address as "2111 Kramer." (01:45:25 - 01:49:50)
Continuity mistake: When the T-1000 has stolen a police-motorbike, you can see this is a highway-bike when approaching the building, but becomes a cross bike when going up the stairs. Easiest way to tell is the engine note and the tread on the front tyre. (01:54:45)
Continuity mistake: When the T-1000 drives his bike throught the glass of the Cyberdyne Systems building to get onto the helicopter, the windshield falls off. When you see it drop to the ground, it's still attached to the bike. (01:56:20)
Continuity mistake: The T-1000 punches his body through the window of a helicopter to get inside. An instant later, the hole in the windshield is gone. (01:56:35)
Continuity mistake: After the T1000 performs the bike jump to the helicopter he tells the pilot to get out. Watch as he jumps out, the door shuts properly, it then cuts back inside where the T1000 proceeds to close the door for a second time. (01:56:45)
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the film, when the T-1000 controlled police helicopter bears down on the SWAT truck, Sarah tries to gun it down and the T-1000 returns fire. Look carefully at the shots of the back of the SWAT truck, and notice that the bullet marks made by the T-1000 on the closed door keep changing between shots. (01:57:55)
