Continuity mistake: The debris on Tennyson Torch's car changes between shots when he gets out of the car after crashing it into the ATM. (00:33:35)
Continuity mistake: In the first scene with Becky Clearidge swooning over the protagonist, Vin Diesel's right arm is down his side, then suddenly wide, and so on. (00:29:40)
Character mistake: To compliment Xander Cage's physique, the overexcitable Becky tells him that he has 'guns' like 'the second terminator', specifying she means the 'liquid metal guy'. Robert Patrick surely didn't have 'big guns'. (00:29:40)
Character mistake: Toni Collette tells XXX that their plane has "Fuel tanks big enough to circumnavigate the globe three times without ever landing." The plane is a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, which while having remarkable tanks, can go for 5,200 nautical miles, around 10 thousand km, 1/4 of circumnavigating it once. Even if someone made a tank 'big enough' to back the bragging of the snotty CIA boss, it would weigh so much that it'd be impossible to take off (and consume a lot more fuel too), which is why you can refuel that plane in the air.
Continuity mistake: In the dialogue in their retreat in the Philippines Serena Unger with a gun in hand tells Xiang "That's the problem, you forgot the Queen." Between those two shots, the people walking in the background have changed. Same happens when she shoots - with everyone being remarkably unfazed, too. (00:27:40)
Other mistake: Xander gets the location of the 'ghosts' from his posh Brit hacker friend. He brings it to his duck-lipped boss who is waiting for him in a limo. Judging by the back window it's not just raining, but pouring; still all the exterior views before showed a perfect weather and most importantly, both Vin Diesel's chrome dome and his pimp coat are perfectly dry. (00:26:10)
Factual error: Xander Cage just performed his patriotic duty all night long with half a dozen of Aisley's girls. What follows is a shot of London with Big Ben showing 5:35, but it must be 5:35 PM, because even in August at that time in the morning the sun has not even dawned yet. The scene is meant to happen in the morning. (00:25:00)
Continuity mistake: Ainsley sits down to listen what Xander has to say and puts her hair in a tail that goes in front of her shoulder. At the first cut during the phrase "You know, information like this doesn't have a price" there's an obvious sudden change of position between shots, as shown by the tail that goes down straight in the first shot and is caught in the bathrobe collar in the second. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: Ainsley slides towards Xander the data on the 'ghosts', but pulls it back before he can reach it. In the background, a woman is drinking from a cup, but in the next shot she's listening to another person with no cup in sight. (00:25:35)
Continuity mistake: When Xander sighs at the SWAT agent in Santo Domingo, the shadow on his palm in close-up is different compared to the shots before and after. (00:19:05)
Continuity mistake: When Xander plays dumb (and he's a natural at it) with the Dominican SWAT guy who asks him to get on his knees without moving, the guy has his assault rifle pointed straight at him or pointing down depending on the camera angle. (00:18:50)
Continuity mistake: When the fake tourist tells Xander "You need a new plan", a guy with a blue tank, khaki pants and a black and white sports bag passes by. Vin Diesel rebuts "I need a new map" and the same guy is passing again, and again. (00:17:40)
Character mistake: The astute Xander Cage is able to guess that the fake tourist approaching him is, in fact, a fake because he spoke to him in English and he couldn't have guessed he was not a local. Of all the possible hints, given the fact that everything about a guy who randomly sits next to you and starts talking to you saying vaguely ominous things is suspicious, especially if you are a former CIA agent on the run, Xander's reasoning does not hold much water there when you consider that he was reading a map in English, with notes scribbled all over also in English. Anyone could have guessed that, and the guy takes a good look at the map, in fact comments on it. Besides, the tourist could have simply been looking for someone in this foreign country who'd knew his own language, and someone who has obviously been abroad a lot could be a good candidate for that. (00:17:40)
Continuity mistake: When Xander's Dominican girl wakes up not finding him in bed anymore, she walks to the beaded curtain and opens it. She does it in two separate shots, with her left hand being at the same height of her right in the first shot, coming down from a higher position in the next shot. (00:17:05)
Continuity mistake: When Xander Cage justifies being a cheapskate freebooter to the buxom brunette, he's leaning all the way against the hut, left arm outstretched in the first shot, while in the second shot he's in the middle. (00:16:15)
Continuity mistake: When Xander checks the timer that signals 30 seconds to DEFCON-1 alert, in the wide angle he is holding it by the side, in the close-up he has it in his palm, with his fingertips at the top. (00:14:55)
Continuity mistake: After the ski sequence, Xander walks to a bus stop and gets a skateboard from a kid. He grabs it by the front, his hand above the wheel, but in the next shot he's holding it by the side and only then shifts his hand to the front. (00:13:35)
Continuity mistake: Tony Jaa joins the others outside the CIA building "just in time." Behind him, a cab stops by. The cab appears and disappears between shots, "just" arriving again once he triumphs over his showboating motorcyclist adversary that does wheelies instead of shooting. (00:10:55)
Factual error: Deepika Padukone cuts through steel using a thermal lance - you can see in a shot with Yen and Bisping sparks flying through the door. She then opens the same metal door placing her unprotected hand on it and keeping it in place for a second. The whole door must be pretty darn hot, surely enough to discourage anyone to give it a barehanded casual push. (00:10:40)
Continuity mistake: Michael Bisping tackles the CIA agent and they begin a brawl in a room. There's a close-up on Donnie Yen looking at them, but in the next shot he's nowhere to be seen between the open doors - he appears only in a different shot a couple cuts later. (00:10:15)
