Continuity mistake: Tree foliage is inconsistent, changing several times within the first minute (Fall-Winter-Summer-Fall-Summer). Tree foliage even varies with which side of the road is being shown, such as Winter leafless trees between houses on Liam's side but Summer green leaves on Breanna's passenger side of the car (followed by Winter leafless trees when they get to the bank's parking lot). Factual error: It's not physically possible to remotely cause an elevator to fall to the bottom of the shaft. Even if the Heart somehow gained full control over the motor, there are emergency brakes on the elevator itself that engage if the elevator begins to reach an unsafe speed.
Other mistake: In the Special Thanks section, Bobcat Goldthwait's name is misspelled as "Goldthwaite." (02:28:28)
Deliberate mistake: Candy tells her radio listeners, "Our phone number is 201-5137." Assuming the radio station's reception extends beyond more than a small geographic area, an area code is needed for callers outside of the immediate area. On Ellie's cell phone, Mary's number shows up with an area code. (00:05:55 - 00:07:20)
Continuity mistake: The wall clock is at approximately 10:27 and advances to about 10:43, then returns to 10:27. During Keith's 5-second countdown for Michelle to go back on air, the clock jumps from 10:27 to 10:43. (00:01:50 - 00:03:07)
Factual error: Henk arrives in Moscow. The KGB gets a copy of his passport. In the next scene, a building can be seen, and a Trabant 601 drives through the shot (one light out). Trabant was East German made and widely exported on the Eastern Block but never to the Soviet Union. This car is definitely wrong there. (00:30:40)
Other mistake: When Adam Sandler calls his daughter on a video chat in the car with her friend, the picture of his daughter is not the same as when she is in the car. When they jump between her and him on the call, her hair and background are completely different than they are in the car. (00:23:17)
Factual error: Max sees a dog he wants to adopt at the "Seattle Animal Shelter" and the shelter worker tells him, "Just bring her back in a week to get spayed." All dogs/cats in Seattle shelters (as well as virtually all across the U.S.) must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
