Factual error: Early in the film, as the train pulls into the station, you can see 2 European Traffic Control Systems. A signalling system that was only installed in 2010.
Other mistake: Three fingertips are shown dropping to the floor, but there are sounds of four fingertips being broken off. (00:03:33)
Continuity mistake: Before "The Bailiff" shocks Killjoy in the chair, the skin above Killjoy's left lip is visible, not painted solid white like the rest of his face. Going down the elevator, that section of his mouth is uniformly painted white. (00:20:55 - 00:22:32)
Continuity mistake: Dutch's body is at an angle to, and at least a foot away from Rosemary's, when he tells her she should move. The camera switches to a front view, and they are already shoulder-to-shoulder (linearly) with her left arm through his right elbow. (00:17:00)
Continuity mistake: There is rain in front of and on the SUV when Blake stops to drop off Jamie. The windshield and visible parts of the hood and roof are dry before Jamie exits the vehicle, and there is no rain while she walks away. (00:05:40)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the video call, Emily's camera is aimed directly in front of a large branch/tree trunk that has fallen horizontally. As she scans the log-like branch, Sam's phone shows all upright trees. Even allowing for a reception delay, Sam's phone never shows the log. Continuity mistake: Teddy gets cocaine smeared all over his left cheek when he is snorting cocaine in his car, but when the camera shifts to a front view, the cocaine is gone, not visible. (00:10:25)
Factual error: Professor Alessando steals the keys from the ward. One key is under a copy of the Italian magazine "L'Eternauta." However, it is issue #103, released in November 1991. The movie is set one year earlier, at the end of 1990.
Continuity mistake: The scenery view shots near the beginning of the movie apparently are not meant to represent the passage of time (such as "one year later"), so the various changes in foliage - from green leaves (Summer) to leafless trees (Winter) to orange leaves (Autumn) to green leaves (Summer) and back to Fall foliage - do not make sense. Continuity mistake: Cait plays the "forehead game" and correctly guesses that she is "snow". Cait apparently removes the paper from her forehead (off-screen). The timer bell rings, and the paper is on Cait's forehead as if she does not take it off. (00:57:28 - 00:58:08)
Continuity mistake: The cucumber half is facing in the opposite direction after the camera shift. The flesh is toward the right of the screen, then to the left. Continuity mistake: In the ice cream and hot cocoa parlor, the jar of candy canes/sticks is closer to the gingerbread house than the cash register. In the rearview, the three objects are close together, with little space between them. Continuity mistake: Front passenger, Ian, adjusts the rearview mirror to watch the approaching police car. Almost instantly, the front view of Vicente driving shows the rearview mirror angled towards him, and Ian's hand is not near the mirror to have readjusted it that quickly. Continuity mistake: Lily has 4-5 stacked pancakes on her plate, including a half-eaten one on top. After she pours syrup on the stack, there are suddenly 7-8 pancakes, arranged differently. Lily may have time to cut 1-2 pancakes into pieces, but nobody is close enough to the table to add any pancakes to account for the increase. (00:04:40 - 00:05:03)
Factual error: In the film, Blackberry is shown being "raided" by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As a Canadian company with its headquarters in Canada, the SEC, by itself, has no jurisdiction to effectuate such a raid on the premises. In real life, the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) brought the case against Blackberry co-CEO, Jim Balsillie.
Continuity mistake: In the hospital, Sebastian's head is centered on the pillow. When the camera shifts, the top of the pillow to the right of his face is angled too low towards the upper-right of the screen. (00:02:26 - 00:02:51)
Continuity mistake: When Coriolanus and Sejanus are eating lunch at the Academy, Coriolanus' sandwiches switch positions several times, stacking and unstacking, and turning several times.
