Factual error: During the first tunnel sequence, all the cars travel very far into the mountains, turn lots of corners, yet not only is Gisele still able to speak to them over the radios, their GPS still works. GPS signals invariably need a clear 'sight' of the sky and can penetrate light cover, but most certainly not that depth and cover. (00:58:05)
Factual error: When the real German soldiers are playing 20 questions in the bar, one of the cards shows the name of Genghis Khan. This is an English-language word; as Germans, they would have written Dschingis Khan instead. As the whole scene deals with exposing the British/American spies and subtle differences in their language or behaviour, this is especially unfavorable here.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Watson and Adler are laying out the map, they place two objects on the map to hold it down. In the very next clip where it shows Holmes talking, you see Watson and Adler placing those same objects on the map.
Continuity mistake: When they give Garber the pistol to take, it has actually changed when he pulls it out of the bag, it's an entirely different pistol.
Continuity mistake: During the sequence where Margaret proposes to Andrew on the street in New York, the same woman in a green sweater walks by three times.
Continuity mistake: When Grumpy jumps the chasm to chase Dr. Marshall, there's a large green bulbous plant that moves from the side Grumpy jumped from to the one he lands on. It wasn't there before.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Stu, Phil, and Allan are retrieving the tiger back to Mike Tyson, the tiger scratches Phil. As they get out of the car, the camera has the tiger in full frame as he growls at Phil, you see chains around the tigers' neck as a leash that was never there before.
Other mistake: When Laurie has her episode in the bathroom about killing Annie, the clock stays at 7:03 the whole time.
Factual error: Water can't put out chemical fires.
Suggested correction: Nonsense. Not all can be put out with water, some can.
If you did research on fires you will see that putting water on chemical fires makes it spread. Gasoline and oil float to the surface of the water and continue to burn.
Plot hole: So he needed the help of a big strong burly guy to flip the safe with the body, end over end to the pit, but he somehow was able to easily get it out of his basement and into the back of his car by himself?
Character mistake: About 3/4 of the way through the movie, when Jennifer Aniston is talking to Ben Affleck, she calls him Ben instead of his character's name Neil.
Factual error: In the underwater scene when Rex blows up the ice pack, ice appears to be denser than water in this situation. The ice sinks when it's blown up, and even if there were pieces of metal on top of the ice, it shouldn't. Some pieces the size of a five-story building have no metal and still sink. (01:43:00)
Continuity mistake: After the car chase, the front plate of the taxi is hanging on one side. Moments later, while driving the cab and fighting the other "alien," the plate on the taxi is in a different position (semi-fixed). (00:46:00)
Visible crew/equipment: During Lilly's sweet 16 party at Santa Monica Pier, when she is skateboarding and catches hold of Drew, in the two shots facing Lilly the reflector screen and boom mic are reflected on the helmet to Drew's left. (00:14:00)
Continuity mistake: When Ian films the Chipettes during the sing-off, he says, "If you like what you see then call Ian Hawke." But when someone else plays the video back later, he says, "If you're interested, then call Ian Hawke."
Revealing mistake: After Martin cuts his arm off, there are several scenes where you can see the bulge of the actor's real arm under his jacket. This is most noticeable when he is running through the birch wood, and when rooting through the ruins of the burned cabin.
Factual error: Abby has trees surrounding her house yet there aren't any in Nome Alaska.
Continuity mistake: While being held by the two kidnappers, both Neal and Mellissa go from being handcuffed together to being handcuffed individually, and then back to being handcuffed to each other once again.
Other mistake: Poor guy George obviously has his heart on the wrong side - that is at least where his hand goes when he suffers his heart attack.
Plot hole: A detective would never be assigned to a suicide scene, since suicide is not a crime. A detective would only be assigned if the suicide is actually found as a murder. Nor would a detective be assigned to find out about a potential sexual relationship or affair unless it involves a crime.
