Continuity mistake: While Nia Vardalos is talking to Richard Dreyfus, just after offering him the ice cream cone, the stains on her jacket's left lapel are either there, almost totally disappear, or change shape.
Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie Dylan Walsh cuts himself shaving and patches it with a piece of tissue, on the side of his jaw. Moments later as he's walking through the house the cut has moved to the corner of his mouth. (00:01:40 - 00:03:35)
Revealing mistake: During the scene where the four Ninjas dressed in black have a pillow fight with the 'Girl' Ninja dressed in white, you can see that it's not the little girl fighting them, but a tall 'Oriental Man' stunt double instead.
Continuity mistake: Somewhere during the car chase scene, one of the rear lights of the delivery van breaks. After that it magically fixes itself in some shots.
Factual error: When the men are playing snooker, they are using modern plastic tipped pool cues.
Factual error: The movie is about the 1957 little league world series. In the scene near the end when the factory workers in Monterrey Mexico walk off the job so they can listen to a broadcast of the game, there is a blue 1959 Ford station wagon parked on the street.
Continuity mistake: When Will and SA5M are in CBGB's and SA5M uses her phone to take a picture of them, Sa5m's head and eyes have already turned toward the camera when the picture is taken. However, when the actual picture is shown, SA5M is looking directly at Will.
Continuity mistake: After the dogcatcher, Mr. Cluge, takes Puppy Paws to the dog pound, he unfastens the dog's collar and hangs it on a peg on the wall. The next time the collar is shown, it is fastened again.
Audio problem: Drake places the tea kettle on the stove having just finished pouring the water into his cup. The kettle whistle dies down as he places it on the unheated burner. The problem is that the whistling would've stopped soon after lifting the kettle from the hot burner, and certainly wouldn't have gone on while he was pouring. (00:57:10)
Continuity mistake: Tom receives an e-mail from Summer on day (303). At the beginning of the movie we are told that Tom and Summer met on January 8, so day 303 should be November the 6th, but the e-mail says that it was sent on May 7th, which is day 120.
Factual error: Despite the film building to a climax during a total solar eclipse, which requires a New Moon, the film constantly shows a Full Moon, which never changes phase over the weeks the film takes place.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the scene where the SUV crashes in the woods, Sadie is wearing large dangling earrings. In one quick shot where she is seen sitting in the back of the vehicle after the crash, her left earring is missing. It reappears in the next shot.
Factual error: During one of Blomkvist's flashbacks to his childhood with his babysitter (about 40 years ago), he is wearing Lightning McQueen shoes.
Other mistake: As Viggo Mortensen narrates, it's been years since every crop and animal has died. Trees have been dead so long they're rotting where they stand and falling over with a stiff wind or slight tremor. Yet, in the woods, there are always fallen leaves on the ground which ought to have long ago decomposed, rain or no rain. Obviously, they can't sweep out the whole forest to make a movie.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning during the cheerleader show the cheerleader to the right of Jennifer have her left leg stretched right, covering her right knee which is also somewhat turned right, in the next shoot, supposed to be just a change of the point of view, the same cheerleader have her left leg now straight to the left.
Factual error: At the beginning Scrooge is seen signing Jacob Marley's death certificate in the year 1836. English Birth, Marriage & Death certificates didn't come into being until 1837.
Other mistake: When Anton is swinging below the bridge to rescue Tony from his hanging, he bumps into him. At that moment, Heath Ledger opens his eyes, breaking character for a split second.
Plot hole: Early in the movie, the principal from Precious' school buzzes Mary's apartment intercom to talk to Precious about alternative education. In order to hear what the teacher is saying Precious has to press the 'Listen' button, but occasionally the teacher can be heard speaking through the intercom even when Precious isn't holding the listen button.
Factual error: As Eliott walks across the hillside where the concert is taking place, you can see nylon dome and bivouac style tents. Tents made with metal poles and nylons didn't come to market til the 70s. (01:23:05)
Factual error: The large revolver used by Black Dynamite throughout the film appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic. The movie is set in the early 1970s, but this gun was not produced until 1990.
