Character mistake: In the court scene Clyde mentions a case, Day v McDonough docket number 04-1325. This is a real case, but the docket number is 04-1324.
Character mistake: In the beginning scene where the shuttle lands on Pandora, as Jake gets on his wheelchair preparing to alight from the shuttle, the man behind him unloading equipment has his exopack mask loose even though he is exposed to Pandora's atmosphere. (00:05:20)
Character mistake: When the two main characters are approached by the coach in the school, they make a bet on how many times the coach will say sh*t, the coach says it 9 times, but Nick says that there were ten.
Character mistake: The newspaper article states that Lucinda was thirty-three at the time of her death in 1988. However, that would make her just four years old when she wrote the time capsule note in 1959 - four years old in the 3rd grade?
Character mistake: When Edward leaves Forks, he does it because he believes that he will be protecting Bella. Except that he seemed to have forgotten that Victoria was still in Forks and was intent on killing Bella.
Character mistake: About 3/4 of the way through the movie, when Jennifer Aniston is talking to Ben Affleck, she calls him Ben instead of his character's name Neil.
Character mistake: When Coach Fullmer is recruiting Michael and SJ to Tennessee, he ends the conversation by calling SJ the wrong name - "my pleasure, CJ." (01:33:25)
Character mistake: When Mr Maddens is talking to the critic at the Mayor's reception, he calls him Alan. The character is actually called Patrick Burns, Alan is the actor's name.
Character mistake: In the scene where Rick Marshall is playing the Banjo, he says he has been "doing some thinking with just him and the old four string". His banjo has five strings and you can see the five strings when he lays the banjo down.
Character mistake: In the part after the premonition when everyone runs out of the speedway, Cynthia Daniels yells "Andy" to her husband, when her husband's name is Carter.
Suggested correction: Cynthia isn't the one saying it. Nadia, Andy's girlfriend, is calling after Andy as she follows him out. If you listen closely she actually calls after him more than once, beginning before Carter even starts to follow them out.
Character mistake: When Chekov is discussing the plan to hide behind Saturn, he says, "...if Mr. Scott can get us to warp 4...". But on the viewscreen, it shows they are already traveling at warp 4.31. (01:34:40)
Character mistake: In the film, five items are stolen: the Magna Carta, the Turin Shroud, the Imperial Sword of Japan, the Pope's ring and the Pink Panther diamond. When Alfred Molina's character is challenged that they had found everything but the Pink Panther, he protests that 3 out of 4 is not bad, that's 75%. In fact, they had found 4 out of 5 or 80%.
Character mistake: In a shot that flashes by very briefly, a London newspaper's headline is shown: "Sherlock Holmes Aides Police." "Aides" should be "aids".
Character mistake: Paul Walker is told of a 240SX with an illegal mod. You then see it is an S15. There was never an S15 240SX. It is a Japanese spec 200SX, chassis code S15.
Character mistake: Just after the birth of Mona's child, Farhan recollects "uss waqt agar Virus kehta kay mera pouta engineer.". In fact the child is not his "pouta" but his "nata"
Character mistake: Hicox salutes General Fenech, who returns the salute. But Fenech is bareheaded and therefore under British military protocol cannot salute. He would instead acknowledge the salute with a nod.
Character mistake: When discussing the new Pope's name (Luke) at the end of the film, Langdon says: "There have been many Marks and Johns, but never a Luke." In fact, though there have been 23 Pope Johns, there has only been one Pope Mark - reigning for 9 months in 336.
Character mistake: While he is describing his origin, Dr. Manhattan mentions a circulatory system appearing at a military base. However, what is actually shown is a nervous system, as it depicts a brain and spinal cord.
Character mistake: If you ever called a Marine Sergeant Major "Sarge", he would probably kill you. It just wouldn't happen. That's an Army thing. Also, Marines say "ooh-rah", not "hoo-ah". That's also an Army thing.
Character mistake: Candy's full name is Candace Washington, which is referred to in the movie, yet when she is released early from prison, the correction officer calls her Candace Collins.
