Audio problem: Right after Det. Corelli finds the limerick in her apartment, she pulls out her gun and there is a distinct sound of what's supposed to be her cocking the hammer on her pistol. However, Det. Corelli (along with all the other cops in the movie) uses a Glock semi-auto pistol, which does not have an external hammer that can be "cocked." The sound is added artificially, likely for dramatic effect. (01:06:30)

Other mistake: It is crucial to the story that Peter is terrified of moths - but when he is led through the woods at knife point by Tracey, a large moth flies around both their heads for several seconds (lured by lights of the film crew) and he ignores it, being as it's an unplanned visitor. Factual error: In scenes apparently in Japan, all the cars drive on the right side of the road. In actuality, the Japanese drive on the left side of the road.

Factual error: When Leonardo DiCaprio is arriving on the tarmac at what is supposed to be Abu Dhabi, the main (and very distinctive) Dulles airport terminal is visible in the background.

Character mistake: When Massie reads the IM from Kristen, she doesn't look at the past messages. Claire didn't delete the messages from the past.

Factual error: Although correctly addressed as "captain" towards the end of the film, Richthofen continues to wear the rank insignia of an oberleutnant (lieutenant).

Revealing mistake: While Punisher is killing Pittsy, you can tell he is holding a dummy, not the real girl.

Factual error: At the end of the film, Wyatt and McQuarry each take a briefcase containing $5 million dollars. $1 million dollars in $100 dollar bills (highest denomination in circulation) weighs approximately 22lbs = 110lbs for $5 million. $5 million in $100 dollar bills is also approximately 3445 cu. in. in volume. This would not likely fit in the cases they are carrying, and would not be as easy to carry as they are.

Factual error: When Einstein is crossing a bridge on his way to the university, two German flags (black-red-gold) are flanking the bridge. The scene is set in 1914, so it should instead be the 'German Reichsflagge' which is black-white-red. Only after WW I, in August 1919, was the black-red-golden flag officially used to represent Germany. (00:38:50)

Continuity mistake: When The Spirit is hit by the severed head in the first fight, you can see that the projectile thrown at him doesn't look like a head at all. However, it changes back when he is hit. (00:10:55)

Factual error: There is a running camera shot at the UN of national flags, the current Canadian flag is displayed but it was first introduced in 1965, the movie scene is suppose to take place in 1964.

Continuity mistake: When Jessie and Carlos walk to the church ruins, a big bruise on his nose suddenly appears for a couple of seconds, only to disappear briefly after.

Continuity mistake: In the scary door, the hay stack on the barn it diagonal, but when the aliens are attacking, the hay stack is vertical. (00:13:30)

Continuity mistake: When Eva is being brainwashed, her car is numbered '12.' During the brainwash she doesn't move from her seat, but when the brainwash is over, she comes out of a car numbered '03.'

Continuity mistake: When Samir parks by 128 Randolph, he leaves the vehicle with the drivers side window down, but when the other agents pull up, the window is rolled up.
