Continuity mistake: Torrential rain falls during the big shoot-out scene at the Ghost Market, but when Park Do-won is up on the rooftops, a 360 degree pan shot shows only light clouds that could never dump such rain.
Continuity mistake: When The Spirit is hit by the severed head in the first fight, you can see that the projectile thrown at him doesn't look like a head at all. However, it changes back when he is hit. (00:10:55)
Factual error: There is a running camera shot at the UN of national flags, the current Canadian flag is displayed but it was first introduced in 1965, the movie scene is suppose to take place in 1964.
Continuity mistake: When Jessie and Carlos walk to the church ruins, a big bruise on his nose suddenly appears for a couple of seconds, only to disappear briefly after.
Continuity mistake: During the sex scene between Milo Ventimiglia and Lauren Lee Smith, in which the fat guy was found dead, three consecutive shots showed that Milo Ventimiglia has his shirt on on the first, then the shirt disappeared on the next, only to reappear on Milo Ventimiglia's body again in the third shot.
Continuity mistake: The car they pour petrol/gasoline over in the closeup shot is a 2007 Chrysler 300C Hemi with the big square-shaped grille. In the long shot where the car blows up, it is not the same car; the grille has changed shape and is more akin to an old Mercedes.
Suggested correction: The grille hasn't changed shape, it looks different because of the explosion damage.
Continuity mistake: In "The Mummy Returns", we were told that the Scorpion King reigned before the Pyramids of Egypt were built. Yet in this film, where the Scorpion King is not yet a king, Layla talks about going to Egypt to see the Pyramids.
Revealing mistake: When Louis is trying to get Lester to apologize to Cleo after hitting her, lots of extras on the sidewalk and across the street can be seen watching the whole scene being shot.
Plot hole: At the end of the movie we discover that the main character (Claire) was in the plane crash and was sitting next to Eric as the plane started to go down. However at the beginning of the movie( before we are supposed to know Claire was in the crash) Eric can be seen but Claire is not next to him. (00:01:10 - 01:19:20)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film when Georgiana is talking with her mother about her engagement, the curl running down the back of Georgiana's neck disappears and reappears multiple times.
Continuity mistake: When she goes to sing "Nobody's Perfect," she has on a white tank top, a blue jean vest, and a watch. As she starts to sing, she only has the white tank top on, and no vest or watch. Then again throughout the song, she has the vest and watch back on.
Character mistake: During the seminar, Professor Rohl tells students that only 19 workers of Auschwitz were sentenced (in 1966). During the first trial of Nazis from Auschwitz, 39 were sentenced, including 23 persons condemned to death. The trial was in 1947 in Krakow.
Factual error: When Caroline is opening the envelope from Dr. Henry, she removes a wad of cash. They are modern bills; the large corner numbers weren't introduced until the late 1990s. (00:32:30)
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the movie when Alexis is getting ready for her first date with Tank, her roommate is holding a cheetah print shirt. The shot changes and suddenly Alexis is wearing it, even though she has not had time to put it on. She is also holding a drink in her hand, but she never puts it down. (Although this is explained on the DVD's Deleted Scenes, it is still a mistake.)
Visible crew/equipment: When Brother Silence/Cass leaves the house after finishing the campaign at the end of the movie, he opens the front door to leave and there is a glass door/screen there outside the house. For a second you can see a crew member holding the boom mike in the reflection of the glass door. (01:28:10)
Plot hole: Blackbird and Ritchie fake their deaths in order to lure Wayne and Carmen out of hiding. What was the point of pursuing Wayne and Carmen? The only reason they wanted the couple dead was to prevent them from testifying. The problem is .if Blackbird and Ritchie were "dead", the case would be CLOSED. Carmen and Wayne wouldn't be testifying anyway. So why go to the trouble of killing them? It makes no sense.
Factual error: When the captain is arguing with the Armed Services Committee chairman, Homeland Security is mentioned. However this movie takes place prior to Desert Shield, and the Department of Homeland Security wasn't created until over a decade later.
Audio problem: The day after Operation Mardonius, when the first set of bombs explodes you first see the explosion and then hear it after a second, then as the last bombs explode you both see and hear the sound at the same time.
Continuity mistake: At the end, Casey and Elaine flee the house in the Volvo and find Chloe's crashed SUV. As Casey goes to investigate the SUV on foot, Miranda suddenly comes sprinting out of the woods, intending to kill Casey. To save Casey, Elaine rams Miranda with the Volvo, slamming her into the rear of the SUV. A camera shot from inside the SUV looking out shows that Miranda impacted right in the center of the SUV's rear hatch. In the same shot, we see Miranda's lifeless body slowly slide straight down the hatch, meaning her body should have collapsed directly between the Volvo and the SUV. When the camera cuts to an exterior view, we see Miranda's lifeless body stretched out in the snow (parallel to both vehicles) a couple of feet away from the Volvo's front right fender; so her body is now about 6 feet away from where it should be.
Revealing mistake: The raid took place at Xmas in 1951. In homage to this fact, the characters wear big coats and one of them even rubs his hands together and goes "Brrr." Yet the movie was filmed in the height of summer. Trees in the background of scenes in London are full of leaves, we never see any mist in exhaled breath and the lighting levels and shadows indicate a high, bright sun.
