Trivia: The director's family stars as extras in the movie. For example, when Pinky and Teets are getting engaged, just before the cell phone rings, a person is shown in a close up. That is the director's aunt. Even the director is shown at the party after the engagement.
Trivia: The nurse in the doctor's office when Phil goes in to test his sperm is also in the scene as an employee when the store sees on the TV that Holden has died.
Trivia: After Charlie (Morgan Freeman) is attacked at the bar, Claire (Ashley Judd) suggests that he go to the hospital to check on his ribs. In Kiss the Girls (1997), Judd's character suggested the exact same thing to Freeman's. Both times he refused.
Trivia: At the end of the film you see two gravestones, "Priest" Vallon and William Cutting. Behind them is a river, with a view of lower Manhattan after that. You see a bridge being built, and the city growing and changing. The two men had to have been buried in Brooklyn, rather than Manhattan for this view.

It moves into view, stops for a second and moves out of view again. This is not Kate because she is standing on the other side of the room. There is also a quiet sound effect as it shows itself. Trivia: When the girls arrive at the beach at the beginning of the movie, they observe somebody who's getting worked by a HUGE wave. As he gets out of the water, they comment on him "he hit the reef" - "that's gotta hurt". This was not fake: The guy who did this REALLY got hurt that way and almost lost his eyeball.

Trivia: This is one weird "mistake". The scene where Nick and Tess are arrested after a carchase (so many cops after a hacker?) is, yeah you're not going to believe it, completely ripped from another movie called Set it Off (1996, good movie). Not LIKE "Set it Off" but it IS "Set it Off". Everything from when the helicopter finds them until dead-end capture, except inside shots of course. Watch every crash, turn, intersection. If you look closely you can see that they even used the shots where 3 characters from "Set it Off" are visible. The movies are made by different companies (Set it Off - New Line Cinema, Storm Watch - Cinetel Films), so is this allowed? And by the way whose lowrider is this anyway (except Cleo from "Set it Off")? Later in the movie Tess drives a green jeep and Nick is a convicted poor hacker. Trivia: The bad guy in this movie was a bottled-water magnate. This was Dreamworks' dig at Vivendi, the French water bottler that also owned Universal Studios, Dreamworks' rival.
Trivia: In the scene where Wells asks Cooper to knock him out, Kevin McKidd throws a stage punch the first time, but misjudges the distance of the second and catches Sean Pertwee on the nose. Pertwee didn't feel the punch however as he really was drunk for that scene. This is all talked through on the DVD.
