
Trivia: On Daniel's desk there is a picture of Courtney Cox. The man who plays Daniel is David Arquette, who was married to Courtney Cox at the time.

Trivia: The Country Bears attraction, on which the movie was based, was originally supposed to be located at Disney's Mineral King ski resort in California. When that project was cancelled (due to opposition from environmental groups), the Bears were moved to Disney World.

Trivia: As Ali is walking with the PM at the summit, the PM is introducing him to many other people and other delegates. One of the people he meets is Borat from Kazakhstan. This is one of the roles Sacha Baron Cohen plays on Da Ali G Show.

Trivia: Prior to the release of this film, Johnny Knoxville was reported to be, by an American tabloid, "so dishevelled" by a boy who died reconstructing "Big Wheel Craze" that he refused to make the movie or any more episodes of "Jackass." Two weeks later, the ad for the film was shown in the exact same spot in the paper.

Trivia: There were no scripts used in this movie, whatever Steve and Terri said was off the top of their heads. All stunts were performed, just like the TV show, by Steve himself.

Trivia: The character who plays Capt Ross is the son of Coronation street's Ken Barlow a.k.a William Roache.

Trivia: If a tarantula were to ever grow to the gargantuan size that it does in this film, it would resemble a huge furball. The filmmakers were aware of this, but for obvious reasons decided to tone down the amount of hair. (00:56:35)

Trivia: At one point, Robin makes a reference to John Ashcroft "[losing] to a dead man." This is actually true - the "dead man" was Missouri governor Mel Carnahan. Carnahan was running for Senate, but died in a plane crash three weeks before the election. It was too late to remove his name from the ballot, but the voters elected Carnahan, anyway. His term was served by his widow, Jean.

Trivia: Rupert Everett ad-libbed two scenes: the one in which he kisses Colin Firth on the cheek, and the one where he heartily slaps Colin Firth on the bottom. The director, Oliver Parks, thought Firth's startled reactions were so funny that he kept both in the film.

Trivia: When Leah asks where the new girls are from, Michael Rosenbaum says "Newburgh," which is his actual home town.

Trivia: When Claire is in the Captain's quarters and turns to see the dead Winters' lying in his bunk, two shots that follow show Olivia first turning away from Winters, then emerging from his room into the passageway. Both of these shots were filmed in reverse, then played backwards to make them look more eerie - note the odd movement of her hair, especially in the latter shot. (01:22:40)

Trivia: In the fight scene between Christian and Matthew, Christian really was head-butted and apparently had a lump the size of an egg on his forehead for some time afterwards - notice how his hair is more down over his forehead in some scenes than others to hide the lump.

Trivia: This is the first film since A Perfect World (1993) in which Clint Eastwood has carried a gun.

Trivia: The man driving the baggage carrier that brings the suitcase into Miami is seen shortly afterward driving the boat that Puggy rides.

Trivia: Craig Bartlett, the creator of the nickelodeon show that the movie is based on, is the voice of Murray the bus driver, and others, in the movie.

Trivia: I was delighted to notice that William Hurt's character works in a T.V. station - you will see that during one of his phone conversations with Samuel Jackson. Anyone remember Broadcast News?
