Corrected entry: Amber and Guiseppe arrive on the island with nothing but the clothes they stand up in, and they subsist on what they find or fish from the sea. So, where does Amber's pale pink lipstick come from? She is never seen without it on.
Corrected entry: In the scene just after the courthouse, Charlie looks at a map and begins to type. He types 'We begin on State ROAD 29' but the voice over says 'We begin on State ROUTE 29'.
Correction: He could have changed it in a later draft, or it could have been changed by someone else. The screenwriter is nowhere near the last person to see the script before it goes into production.
Corrected entry: In the scene with Victor and Carmen after Carmen's mother's birthday party there are two spot lights which cross from driver's side to passenger side to simulate the passing of overhead street lights. The lights still pass over them and shine onto the street even though they have not started moving.
Correction: They are waiting at a red light, and the spot lights that are going left to right, right to left, are cars passing by until the light turns green. If the lights were street lights, they would've gone from the hood to the roof.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Chuck and Penny drive to their new house, Chuck throws the 'For Sale' sign into the grass where it sticks in and wobbles. As the scene cuts back to itself repeatedly, the amount of wobble on the board changes. One minute it is slowing to a stop, the next minute it is wobbling fast again.
Correction: I've watched this scene and the sign does not wobble faster during the scene. The sign shakes a small bit but is almost not even noticeable. The small shake could be attributed to the wind as you can see the leaves on the tree shaking.
Corrected entry: Near the beginning of the movie, Al Pacino receives the hard drive with the Simone program on it. As he pulls out the hard drive, you can see the arm and the platters of the drive. Taking the covers off a hard drive, especially on a beach, would render the hard drive inoperable, due to sand, dust or dirt getting into the mechanisms and between the platters.
Correction: He never opens the drive, in fact: it is never open. It is just a hard disk with a transparent cover.
Corrected entry: Near the end Broken Sword presents Nameless with his sword and two words of calligraphy. During this scene the wind acts very strangely. It's always blowing Nameless' hair and clothes to his right, but it also blows Broken Sword's hair to his right. Since they're facing each other, that's two opposite directions. When Moon asks Nameless to consider Broken Sword's advice, the wind is still, but it is still blowing strongly on Nameless. This phenomenon may have a thematic interpretation. (01:14:25 - 01:15:05)
Correction: This movie is about symbolism.it really isn't a mistake because the wind symbolizes Nameless' and Broken Sword's differences.
Corrected entry: Before turning into the grass patch, Chris Rock hits a man who holds onto the windscreen wipers. We see the same man break off the side-mirror, with which he smashes the windscreen. Afterwards, throughout the rest of the chase, the windscreen is intact.
Correction: The bad guy on the car uses the mirror to smash the glass of the sunroof, not the windshield.
Corrected entry: After knowing each other just a few days, Adam proposes to Alice and they get married the next day. Under British law, you cannot get married until the registry office has had your notice for at least 15 days. (00:36:00)
Correction: Notice does not need to be given for marriage in the Church of Wales or Church of England. The church requires a notice called a Bann to be arranged with Church. As it is a family church, this wouldn't be a problem to arrange at short notice.
Corrected entry: When Laura leaves Richie at Mrs. Latch's place he is carrying a red suitcase in his hands. Richie and Mrs. Latch look from the doorsteps how Laura drives off, and the suitcase isn't there anymore. This is seen best when he starts running after the car. (00:59:50)
Correction: Mrs. Latch opens the door, just as Laura begins walking away, and puts the box inside. Watch behind Laura while she's walking - Mrs. Latch moves toward the open door, attempting to lead Richie inside.
Corrected entry: When Lucy is hearing the tune that Ben made up for her poem, she has no idea what the tune will be. However, even though he played the first few bars, she still knew exactly how the tune went. She should have had NO idea. The only explanation would be that she could read the piano music, but then she would have to know how to sing it right that second.
Correction: When Lucy is graduating at the beginning of the film, a teacher says to her that she hopes she will continue to study music after high school. This suggests that Lucy has a talent for music and it is therefore entirely possible that she can "sight read" music, and sing it straight away as it appears on the page.
Corrected entry: There are 50 stars on the U.S. flag in the courtroom, even though in the 1920's there should be 48 stars.
Correction: There are two flags in the courtroom, one behind the witness stand and the other just outside the courtroom. Both flags are wrapped around their poles, so it's impossible to see how many stars are on the flags. However, the lined-up configuration of the stars that are visble corresponds with the 48-star flag -- the rows are not staggered as they are on the 50-star flag.
Corrected entry: When Stella leaves the toilet cubicle just before meeting her death she is wearing a skirt, the next camera shot of her legs has her wearing leggings.
Correction: If you watch carefully she has always got leggings on.
Corrected entry: When Elizabeth tells Hundert about their trip to Greece she addresses some stereotype tourist activities, like drinking too much Ouzo or having shish kebab near the Akropolis. The latter is the Turkish skewer version and certainly not typical fast food in Athens in the mid seventies, at a time of extreme tension between Greece and Turkey. (00:12:45)
Correction: In the US, "shish kebab" is a fairly generic term for any skewered meat. There is no evidence that the restaurant she ordered the food from called the food "shish kebab." Rather, it's only her vague recollection of the day, hazed by the ouzo no doubt, that could have lead her to fall back on the more generic "shish kebab," rather than the likely more appropriate "kalamaki."
Corrected entry: The flier for the SPAT meeting says it's on Friday at 2pm. You'd think if they wanted as many single parents as possible to attend (people who would almost invariably have to work, or at least be looking for work) they'd make the meeting in the evening, or on the weekend.
Correction: Single parents often work odd hours, at jobs with irregular shifts. Would need more info to state Hard-And-Fast as a Rule.
Corrected entry: When Jelly is showing Dr. Ben all the weapons at their disposal he asks if he know how to shoot an AK then he asks about the Kalashnikov. AKs and Kalashnikovs are the same thing
Correction: Kalashnikov made the original AK-47 (still does), as well as many other models of guns. There are a lot of companies making knock-offs of the AK, including American companies. It's very possible the AK he was talking about could have been made in China, for all we know, and the Kalashnikov was an actual Kalashnikov branded gun.
Corrected entry: When Jonah is walking the plank, he is not wearing a bathing cap. However, in the next shot (when he's in the water), he is.
Correction: Jonah is wearing the cap on the plank before he jumps into the water.
Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie when Frida is in the bed just before it flashes back to her childhood, we see her reflection in the mirror. Her earrings are dangling as if she is standing up.
Correction: This is not a mistake. When she's looking in the mirror, she's remembering her childhood (and therefore we expect a flashback). So her earrings are dangling because she's standing (and about to run away) in the next shot.
Corrected entry: When Dr. Russell Carlisle submits a manuscript for publication by his seminary, he is asked to consider the future consequences upon society of his thesis. One of his associates transports Carlisle through time from 1890 to 2000 to witness the repercussions for himself, where he does indeed find severe negative effects. The problem is- that he traveled to the future *before* publishing his book.
Correction: When Dr. Andersen is telling Dr. Carlisle that he can't "present the teachings of the Lord without the Lord of the teaching" he makes it very clear that it is the teaching of Christian morals without Christian doctrine that is the problem, NOT Dr. Carlisle's book.
Corrected entry: With their prisoner of war camps, the Germans had a strict policy of splitting officers, NCOs and private/enlisted men into separate camps. Also camps were set up for the separate services, eg aircrew would not be kept in the same camp as army or navy personnel. So the two black airmen would not have been in the same camp as the army.
Correction: The Air Force wasn't created as a seperate branch until 1947. It was part of the army during World War 2.
Corrected entry: Near the end of the film, when Bernadette's hair is long, she has it nicely pulled back with bobby pins and a barette. Where did she get the barette? The other girls with long hair either don't do anything with it, or keep it fastened in a braid or pony tail with a rubber band.
Correction: She could have hid them when she arrived. If using bobby pins and a barrette is a 'no-no', then the rebellious Bernadette would have worn them just to annoy the nuns.
Correction: She arrived on the island carrying her huge black purse.
