Other mistake: After the post-bank robbery shootout, a TV reporter is heard describing the shootout as taking place in a "small southland neighborhood." But earlier one of the detectives was heard ordering road blocks at Flower and Figueroa, meaning the gun battle occurred in Downtown Los Angeles. Hardly a small neighborhood.
Other mistake: At the end of the first movie Rybak is a Chief (E7), and he is a retired Lieutenant (O3) during this movie. Assuming he got commissioned to Ensign (O1) immediately after the events of Under Siege, it would take a minimum of 42 months to be promoted to Lieutenant. This movie takes place within 4 years of the first movie, because Admiral Bates is still the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The picture of Rybak in his Lieutenant uniform is at least 5 years old according to his niece. None of these timelines make sense for the rank he is in the movie.
Other mistake: When Robert the Bruce returns to the battlefield at Falkirk, there are 2 children supposedly crying over a loved one. If you look at the blonde girl she is actually laughing. (02:12:00)

Other mistake: Nick Cage is playing blackjack at a Caribbean stud table.
Other mistake: This error occurs during the scene in which the President and Lewis Rothschild are riding in the limo, just after the President has broken a date with Syndney. The background scenery, visible through the windows of the car, is noticeably in slow motion, even though the car (and the people inside it) are moving at regular speed.
Other mistake: The plot of this film can't seem to make up its mind whether or not the Cedar Creek virus is airborne or not. Several scenes show characters walking around in infected areas with and without protection in the same area. At one point Casey's suit breaks implying that he immediately contracts the virus within mere seconds without even having breathed it in yet we see other people walking around with either their face or eyes unprotected.
Other mistake: Just after Grandma Willow says "There's still some snap in these old vines," John Smith puts on his bag, but he just presses it to him instead of putting it over his head.
Other mistake: It's pretty bright in the cemetery considering that there are barely any lights.
Other mistake: When the girls are in the diner and Chrissy is counting money, you see a picture of the tree house in a tree, it is the same tree as the one the girls use after they buy the tree house.

Other mistake: While inspecting the gems from the robbery, Stephen Baldwin is looking through the wrong end of the jewellers magnifying glass.
Other mistake: When walking home from the cinema, Sean says to Bernadette (played by Minnie Driver) "I think your father would be very disappointed to hear that, Minnie". Yes it is Bennie the first time (her character's name), but the second time (ie. the sentence above) is definitely "Minnie".
Other mistake: In the scene around the camp fire, Rob Roy can be clearly seen with with plasters on his hand.

Other mistake: When they talk about the distance to the Illinois State Fair from where the movie is set, Francesca asks if it took the husband and kids about three hours. Today, that is probably a 5 1/2 hour trip in a car, let alone in an old truck hauling a trailer.
