Other mistake: The date on the tombstone above Annie says that Judith Myers was born November 10, 1947, and died October 31, 1963. That would make her 15 (not quite 16 yet) at the time of death, yet everyone says that she was 17 years old.
Other mistake: In the aerial shots of the semis being driven in the mall parking lot, the zombies are milling about. Notice they have left a path just clear enough for the truck. (01:02:40)
Other mistake: After David Warner kills a man with his long thin sword, he pulls the sword out and puts it back in its scabbard, but there's no blood on the sword or anywhere.
Other mistake: In every case, the pod needs hours to take over the human, but, in Elizabeth's case, she gets changed in less than 5 minutes. (01:24:00)
Other mistake: As the police lift the body of the 'dead' hotel clerk from behind the desk, you can see his eyes look around a bit.
Other mistake: When the bad guys are taking the cash from the vault, they finish with just 3 duffel bags. Yet there are blocks of cash along all the walls, roughly 25 times as big as what they're taking. With the duffel bags supposedly containing $100 million, there would be tens of billions of dollars for the taking. Their escape route is up the elevator to the roof, and into a helicopter. What bad guys wouldn't take all they could carry?
Other mistake: When the shark grabs and eats Marge, there is no blood at all.
Other mistake: During the denouement, there is a scene with the meeting between Simon and Jacqueline inside the doctor's cabin. Jackie opens the doctor's case where he keeps the surgical tools pulling it out from a drawer, and she does not place the box back in the drawer or closes it; we see the whole time she spends inside the cabin, so it'd be impossible for the doctor not to notice what happened. Other mistake: After Carlson and Gloria have escaped their captors, they have to get to the Opera House ASAP to try to thwart the assassination of the pope and have to use 3 vehicles. I have frequently visited SF from the UK, and am familiar with the layout of the city. The route they take seems bizarre. They keep coming back on themselves, and at one point make a left onto California St behind a cable car. All they then needed to do was continue to the junction with Van Ness, take a left down to the Opera House near the intersection with Market St - yet still go off-route. I appreciate sat-nav hadn't yet been developed, so perhaps the film-makers were trying to evoke memories of Steve McQueen's car chase in Bullet.
Other mistake: During her fight with ex-hubby Michael, Laura asks him in exasperation "will fifty dollars be enough?" then crosses to her purse and pulls out a hundred dollar bill.
Other mistake: When Bruce escapes from the avalanche by hanging on a tree, his movements are played at a normal speed, but the avalanche wave (superimposed footage) is moving at a slow speed.
