Continuity mistake: While pointing his pistol at Matt Diggs, the Rabbi cocks the pistol's hammer. A split second later from another angle, the pistol's hammer is down.
Continuity mistake: When Yosemite Sam enters the saloon, there are swinging doors behind him. When he orders "all of you skunks" to "clear outta here", the other cowboys leave but the doors to the saloon have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the stagecoach scene (when Silence meets the Sheriff and Loco) the number of horses attached to the back of the coach changes a number of times. Sometimes there is one horse, sometimes two. (00:25:44)
Continuity mistake: Right before and during the ending shootout, the sky changes a few times, as does the sun angle.
Continuity mistake: When Sam is counting to five when riding his horse, he runs into a telegraph pole and loses his guns in the process. But when he catches up with Bugs on the train, he is holding his guns again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene before the race, the butler is leaning against the wall smoking. When he gets off the wall, there is a large grey smudge on his black suit, but the next time we see the back of his suit there is no mark. (00:13:00)
Continuity mistake: At the saloon, Jim brushes off Mr. Walsh and walks out on him. Walsh turns to Francie the bartender, who suddenly is holding the bottle that was undisturbed on the counter a moment before. (00:17:25)
Continuity mistake: When Tom hits the cook in the rear with a branding iron at the end of the cartoon, you can see that the mark is an "X" on the cook's trousers, but when he chases Tom into the distance in the next shot, the mark has changed to a cross.
Continuity mistake: When Travis finds Arliss and Old Yeller in the drinking water, he throws a rock at Old Yeller. Old Yeller is wet all over. Arliss then throws a rock back at Travis, and a chase ensues. After their mother breaks up the fight, she admonishes Travis. Travis then says something to Old Yeller. Old Yeller is lying on the ground dry as he can be. He was just in the water a little over a minute ago, yet there is no sign of wetness at all in his fur. (00:15:45 - 00:17:11)
Continuity mistake: There is no barn to the left of MacMasters' house (otherwise, it would be visible from the front porch), but when Albert runs from the side of the porch into the open, there is a barn. Continuity mistake: Joe Bass, freshly robbed by the Indians, is asking the slave "You come a long way from home, you ran away?" In his hand is a bottle of liquor with the cork on. Change shot, the bottle is open. New change, and now the bottle is closed again. (00:08:00)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Belle dismounts from the horse and gets in front of Mammy Lou. Her hands are lowered in the wide angle but raised in the closer view. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: When Cagney jumps onto the train in a wide shot, the steel car at his back is visibly taller than the wooden car he is facing. In the following close-up, the steel car has morphed into a shorter wooden car, same height as the other.
Continuity mistake: Sam Boone walks Ben Brigade to the horses holding his rifle, and they have a bit of a chat by and about the captive Billy. During this scene, the handkerchief at Randolph Scott's neck waves like mad in the wind over his shoulder under one camera angle, and it is still and in front of the chest in the other. (00:09:30)
Continuity mistake: Dutch's body is at an angle to, and at least a foot away from Rosemary's, when he tells her she should move. The camera switches to a front view, and they are already shoulder-to-shoulder (linearly) with her left arm through his right elbow. (00:17:00)
Continuity mistake: The wagon Buffalo Baker is driving, one horse is killed and Honda cuts the leads and they take off again. In final scene his wagon has 4 horses again.
Continuity mistake: The wad of money Briggs took from the man Jimmy's dad stole from was evenly folded in half, cupped in Briggs' palm, but at least one bill was protruding upward when he stood up. As Briggs was walking into the building, a rear view showed the money was no longer cupped in his palm but extended from both sides of his hand and was in disarray. (00:05:10)
Continuity mistake: In the climactic sword fight between Power and Rathbone, the Captain hand Diego a sword and they immediately start a classic duel. At end, Diego pulls off a dueling glove that he had never put on.
Continuity mistake: Pickles is killed by multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck, as well as being scalped. But in the scene where Willa finds him, and when he is seen in his body bag, there is not a drop of blood to be seen anywhere on his face or clothes.
