
Continuity mistake: In this scene we see Laura shot by a arrow. The arrow hits her in the right upper chest just below the neck. In the next shot they cut out the arrow and it's very clear the arrow has moved to the top of the right shoulder near the collar bone.

Continuity mistake: The young boy, Joey, gets shot in his right leg. Later, the bandage is on his left. (00:36:05 - 00:47:15)

Continuity mistake: When Boss and Charlie are crossing the flooded main street (before rescuing the dog), Boss is holding his shotgun pointing up into the rain in one shot, then in the next shot (from a different angle), it's pointing down, then up again and so on.

Continuity mistake: When Jake Cutter and Paul Regret ride into the ranch yard, two of the victims are hanging upside down over the gate. In the close-up, there are three arrows imbedded in the gate posts. In the far shots, the arrows are not present.

Continuity mistake: When Belle Armitage first shoots her pistol at Johnny Finger, she drops it down the front of her dress. Seconds later, it reappears up between her ample bosom.

Continuity mistake: As the girls ride in to town to avenge Kim, there is a deputy in a faded red shirt on a second-floor balcony. The first time he gets shot, he does a flip onto the street. The second time he gets shot, he goes over backwards.

Continuity mistake: Approximately 46 minutes into the film, Robert Preston is testing a new bullwhip. The whip is in his left hand as he brings his arm back and cracks the whip. He brings the left arm back for a second crack, and the shot changes to a closer angle just as he brings the whip down, only now it is suddenly in his right hand and not the left. The editing, the sound effect, the arm swing all seem perfectly coordinated, except that the whip changed hands between camera set-ups.

Continuity mistake: Doc Holliday with the DOUBLE barrel shotgun shoots three times without reloading.

Continuity mistake: The colour of John Wayne's shirt changes from black to grey after entering the burnt out building. It can not be dust, as the covering is far too even and complete, and a couple of shots later it is black once more.

Continuity mistake: Inside Moon City, artificial gravity is cited to explain why everything behaves as if under a full Earth gravity. And yet, in scenes out on the untamed lunar surface, everything is still behaving as if under a full Earth gravity.

Continuity mistake: Jeremiah Johnson acquires two horses at the beginning of the movie, one completely black, and one almost completely brown. A few minutes later, Jeremiah Johnson is seen riding a horse that is different than the two he just acquired. The new horse is distinguished by his near entirely white face. (00:07:20)

Continuity mistake: When the fire trucks are scrambled for the General's plane, watch for the open cab fire truck. It pulls fourth in line. The shot then shifts to show some sort of armored carrier go by,the shot then shifts back and the open cab fire truck is parked back by the building.

Continuity mistake: When Jim tries to ride "old Thunder" he bucks off and brushes all the straw out of his hair. Seconds later it is back.

Continuity mistake: When Buster is shot, his hat with the hole in it disappears.

Continuity mistake: When the fireman falls from the engine passing over the deep gorge we hear him screaming. John Deakin examines the body and later explains that due to the lack of bleeding the man was already dead before he fell. (He theorizes he was killed and then pushed from the engine because he had discovered the 2 bodies of the missing officers in the woodpile).

Continuity mistake: The sheriff wears his badge over his left side, which is traditional. As he is approaching on horse in the final scene of the movie it is still on his left side. Then for a few seconds in one shot his badge is on the right. (01:23:10)

Continuity mistake: In this scene we see several Government Officials talking in a room. One of them, while talking, is playing a game. The game is to balance the lid of an ink bottle on the end of a ruler and over the ink bottle. When the ruler is flicked rapidly gravity would do the rest and the lid would fall into the ink bottle. Things don't work to plan and the lid falls on its side. In the next wide shot, the lid is right side up and a little distant from where it fell earlier.

Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie the train pulls into town. The loco, tender and 2 stock wagons pass the water tower, but the next shot shows the loco still alongside the water tower.

Continuity mistake: After a passing train disturbs the Mousekewitz's home and extinguishes their candle, Papa strikes a match and lights it up. He tosses the match somewhere offscreen, but one shot later it appears right in front of his feet. (00:04:55)

Continuity mistake: Otter Bob holds out a bottle of liquor at Isaiah after he kills a bear. In the close-up, Bob is holding the bottle by the neck. In the wide shot, he's holding it by the body.
