Continuity mistake: When Cole and the halfbreed duel with knives, the fabric they hold in their mouths as a tether keeps flipping over, meaning the end of the cloth hangs out the left side of the mouth, then the right, and left again - several times for both actors - even tho the fight is continuous and they make no moves that would change this.
Continuity mistake: In the scene before the race, the butler is leaning against the wall smoking. When he gets off the wall, there is a large grey smudge on his black suit, but the next time we see the back of his suit there is no mark. (00:13:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jeb shoots Prentice, we see Prentice with his right hand covering the wound just below the right rib cage. When Jeb carries him inside, Prentice's right hand is now covering the left side rib cage. (01:05:55 - 01:06:35)
Continuity mistake: When they fully cut off the right ear of one of the general's men and stuck it in his mouth, as he walked away, they shot him in the back. As he is falling to the ground, you can see his ear is still attached to his head. (00:42:45 - 00:43:15)
Continuity mistake: At the 23-minute mark, instead of two horses tied to the back of the wagon, there is only one. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: The wagon Buffalo Baker is driving, one horse is killed and Honda cuts the leads and they take off again. In final scene his wagon has 4 horses again.
Continuity mistake: A shoulder wound Raquel Welch has becomes a graze to the upper arm in the next scene.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when John Wayne followed by the harmonica player is talking to Marian McCargo, her scarf goes from left to right or right to left depending on the angle of the shot. (01:56:00)
Continuity mistake: During the battle with the Indians we see two braves that get killed, both wear distinct costumes that only they have - one brave wears a simple costume consisting of just a breechcloth and single feather. Both braves get shot in the heart and fall off their horses and die at the same time. We then see these same two braves die repeatedly throughout the battle, just filmed from different angles. When the Indians ride off there are only two bodies that match these braves' costumes on the ground.
Continuity mistake: Rill Lambeth asks her French maid to cut her hair, but she refuses. Rill takes then the matter in her own hands, aided also by a towel that magically appeared between shots. (00:14:30)
Continuity mistake: When Tom rushes up with his knife, fork and dish to get his dinner from the cook, you can see that Tom's knife is pointing straight but in the next shot it is now pointing to the right.
Continuity mistake: When Annie finishes her song about "doin' what comes naturally," she grabs her rifle and uses the butt to shoo the children towards the house. The man she is talking to is close enough that she could touch him with the gun if she wanted too. The shot changes to a longer shot of the same view and the man is suddenly 5 or 6 feet further away, where the gun would no longer reach him.
Continuity mistake: Lt. Richard Tufts arrived at Capt. Quincy Wyatt's camp. A child walks up to him and starts checking his cavalry sword out. The position of the kid's hands keep changing between shots, and when Monk tells him he's the son of the captain, Tufts' hand is suddenly on the handle of the saber. (00:07:10)
Continuity mistake: When Porky tells Daffy to arrest Nasty Canasta, you can see the window next the door has four panes of glass, but when Daffy challenges Canasta to a fight, the number of panes has increased.
Continuity mistake: When Molly dismounts her horse near the end of the movie the blanket slides off. A second later the blanket appears back on the horse.
