The Queen's Birthday Present - S1-E1
Question: How did Inspector Fowler get robbed of his wallet? There was nobody near him at the station that could have done it. He did bump into Constable Goody to demonstrate pickpocketing but Kevin would never do such a thing.

Question: Was this show cancelled or simply ended?

Question: Re "The Suite Life Movie", I have two questions. One: Zack is flirting with a girl named Nelly throughout the whole movie, but he has a girlfriend, Maya. Is he cheating? Two: (SPOILER ALERT!) Near the end, when Zack and Cody are free from becoming merged, they return to their normal life, but they still have stages 1, 2, and half of stage 3 still in them. Does this wear off, or are they still like that?
Chosen answer: One: Zack doesn't meet Maya until after the movie. Two: There are 2 possibilities. The first one, the steps might worn off after they got to the ship. and the second answer, London said she talks to animals since she ate them, it never worn off.
Zack definitely met Maya before the movie takes place, SPOILER in the final episode when they break up Zack says they've been together for 3 months, and not only does the movie take place during spring break which is less than 3 months from normal graduation, but also their graduation date gets moved up since the ship got sold.
The movie is set between the last two episodes; they had already met.

Question: I know this show is from the time period when a lot of couples had two beds in their room. Just out of curiosity, when did it become acceptable to show a couple's bedroom with a single bed on TV?
Answer: According to Snopes.com, there is no definitive answer, but the mid-1960s is the most verifiable date with "The Munsters" being cited as the first, although others claim "The Brady Bunch" showed the first couple seen in a double bed. An early TV show from the late 1940s titled, "Mary Kay and Johnny" is also thought to have shown the married couple's bedroom as having a double bed, although probably not with them in it. However, this was when TV was aired live, and there are no surviving episodes, only anecdotal accounts.
Something that is funny is that in the movie "A Christmas Story," they show the parents having two twin beds in their bedroom. In a real situation, they should have shown them having a double bed. Lucy and Ricky had twin beds pushed together in an early episode, which would have been pushing television boundaries in that time.

Question: Why exactly was Dick Dastardly so anxious to capture Yankee Doodle Pigeon?
Answer: During the First World War, pigeons were used to carry messages across the battle lines. Yankee Doodle is carrying some sort of American orders or intelligence.

Question: In what episode does the dad ask Gene why he is dressed like Dexy from Dexy's Midnight Runners?
Answer: S04e15, "The Kids Rob a Train."

Question: Could someone translate into English the chant that Laverne and Shirley do at the start of every episode?
Answer: After counting to 8, the next two words are yiddish. A "schlemiel" is an inept clumsy person. A "schlimazel" is a chronically unlucky person. For example, if you are in a restaurant, and you see a waiter spill soup on a customer, the schlemiel is the waiter who spilled the soup, and the schlimazel is the guy who got the soup spilled onto him (and the schmegeggie - not part of the chant - is the doormat who gets stuck paying the check!). Hasenpfeffer is a traditional German stew made from marinated rabbit. Pfeffer is not only the name of a spice, but also of a dish where the animal's blood is used as a gelling agent for the sauce. All of it is just a silly phrasing that's part of a children's game.

Question: In the episode when George renovates the garage for Angie, is the boy that Carmen loses the debate to supposed to be Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite?
Answer: Yes, the boy was an intentional reference to the film.

Question: Why does Vicky hate Timmy so much?
Answer: I don't think Vicky necessarily hates Timmy. She is just a malicious and sadistic person.

Question: Now that season 3 is out, has there been any updates about why Alara was written off, or why Halston Sage left the show, near the beginning of season 2? In 2019, she seemed to indicated her leaving wasn't her choice and it was what was best for the show. But, the fact that they replaced her character with another female Xelayan makes it seem like they weren't really making any changes. And with a 4th season unlikely, are there any rumors Sage will return in season 3?
Answer: No official reason has been given. Halston Sage has only stated in an interview that leaving the show was not her choice. It is considered that her possible return is "open ended", and while there has been no official announcement, she did make a reappearance at the end of Season 2.

Question: If Dustin, Dana, and James don't appear in a lot of episodes in the show, why are they still considered main characters?
Answer: Dustin was only considered a main character from season 1-3, and probably just because he's Zoey's brother. Dana was only a main character for season 1 and James didn't become a main character until season 4.

Arnold's Hat/Stoop Kid - S1-E3
Question: Did Harold already know that the Stoop Kid had just left his stoop the first time? He would have known that a while ago due to a large crowd in the city or even in the newspaper.
Answer: No, he did not. He is seen getting off the bus with a suitcase, so he must have not been home for a few days so there is no way he could have known.

Question: What episode is it that Ellen admits she's a lesbian?
Answer: This groundbreaking episode was in the fourth season, episodes 22 and 23.

Question: Was it ever established in the show whether Hyacinth could drive or not?

Question: Do we ever find out what the H.M. in H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock really stands for? (ie. B.A. stands for Bosco Albert).
Chosen answer: The "H" stands for Hector. The "M" is never explained in the series.

Jimmy Was Kung-Fu Fighting - S1-E12
Question: How can Sister Helen give Lily detention when she sees Lily's tongue ring? She is at the Finnerty's house. Piercings are often a violation of school dress codes, but Sister Helen has not seen the piercing while at school.
Answer: It happens. One of my middle school/junior high classmates was suspended for fighting another classmate during the weekend, at a location nowhere near the school. Also, after Jimmy and Lily created the fake image of Sister Helen, it's easier for Sister Helen to get away with assigning an unfair detention.

On a Very Special Episode... - S1-E5
Question: The intro sequence for this episode seems most closely based on Growing Pains, with a dash of Family Ties, but the painting being coloured in really reminds me of something else, I assume another TV show, but can't place it. Any inspiration?
Chosen answer: The living painting is taken straight from the Family Ties intro.
Ah, that makes sense - I first saw this one on Youtube, which at a guess was the first season or an early version? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPRdtO6UKD0. But yeah, this is exactly right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip1szfz9nZ8.
Answer: I noticed that too and although I can't think of any sitcom starting like that it does remind me strongly of Bob Ross "The Joy of Painting" intro, which was from the 80's as well.

Question: How could Skaar be Bruce's son? In "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron", Bruce tells Natalie that he can't have kids.
Answer: Bruce can't have human kids, but Hulk has entirely different physiology, and Skaar's mother is no doubt not human either. Changes the dynamic entirely.

Question: Where is Estaban from? He doesn't look like he came from America.

Question: Is Florida a widow?
Answer: Carl did die of lung cancer, that's why she returned to her family.
Answer: Florida's husband, James Evans, Sr., appeared in a total of 61 episodes during Seasons 1-3 of the series. After creative differences with the show's creator, Norman Lear, mainly over the increasingly buffoonish characterization of oldest son, James "J.J." Evans, Jr., actor John Amos did not have his contract renewed. His character was killed off in an automobile accident in his home state of Mississippi while he was securing steady work in the hope of relocating his family there. Florida learned of his death via a phone call at the family's going away party. We don't know if her second husband, Carl, died or just stayed in Arizona, and it's debateable whether someone who remarries is still called a widow.
Florida did not learn of James' death through a phone call. It was through a telegram sent in the mail that Florida read during the party.
Norman Lear didn't create Good Times. Eric Monte and Michael Evans did. Norman Lear simply developed it.
Answer: Inspector Grim later told Inspector Fowler that "a credit card belonging to you has been used to hire a car which was subsequently deployed in a drug deal", which implies the cards were taken prior to the morning briefing. As Fowler had been out before work to buy a present for the Queen, it's plausible he lost his card (s) then.
Neil Jones
Inspector Fowler stated that his wallet was stolen from him at the morning briefing.
