Character mistake: When Lana and Kit are speaking in the cafe, the window behind them contains a spelling mistake. The window reads "Bolyston Cafe" when it should say "Boylston Cafe." (00:31:45)

Green Thumb - S6-E10
Character mistake: When Kim is trying to convince Lisbon to help the FBI on their case, she says Jane stopped the ten-year reign of a mass murderer. Red John was a serial killer, which, by the FBI's definition, is a criminal behavior distinctly different from mass murder; he may have had a large number of victims, but he killed them either one or a couple at a time, with a cooling-off period in between, not all at once.

Not with My Sister You Don't - S1-E19
Character mistake: Howard Borden goes to Bob's office and says it's the first time he's been there. In fact, he had come to the office to address Bob's "fear of flying" group in the first episode.

Episode #4.4 - S4-E4
Character mistake: When everyone is preparing to go in to dinner, Robert is wearing an adjustable bow tie. It's bad enough he's wearing black tie to dinner when he has guests, as his mother points out, but Robert, the Earl of Grantham, absolutely would not be seen wearing an adjustable tie with a stand up shirt collar, even among only his immediate family. (00:35:15)

Character mistake: Mrs. Reynolds, the housekeeper at Pemberley, refers to Mr. Darcy's late mother as Mrs. Darcy while showing Elizabeth and her aunt and uncle the house. This is a grave mistake on the part of the filmmakers as she should have been referred to as Lady Anne, the way her sister is known as Lady Catherine. Their father was an Earl, making them Ladies by birth, not by marriage. Hence, they must be called Lady followed by their first name.

Day 4: 10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. - S4-E16
Character mistake: 23rd minute. Jack meets the female assassin in Anderson's apartment. She demands that he show his credentials. Jack says he's with CTU on a provisional basis and therefore he has no badge. The agent that came with Jack confirms that. Yet, in the 13th episode (minute 14) when he enters the sports shop with Audrey's husband, he shows his CTU badge to the owners in order to prove that he in fact is a federal agent.

Character mistake: Upon hearing that Lister, Kryten, Cat and Rimmer have travelled from Albion - England - to India the woman in the market expresses surprise that they have travelled "halfway across the known world" just to buy lemons. In 23AD travelling from England to India was all the way across the known world. The Americas, Australasia and China were completely unknown at the time.

Character mistake: The Captain mentions that the guards were killed in the robbery, but the guards were tazed and hit (with the door and the other was punched), not killed. The companion thieves were killed by Griffin though. "Perp steals 75million, kills 2 guards..." No he didn't. (00:16:01)

The Man in the Fallout Shelter - S1-E9
Character mistake: Hodgins is talking to Bones and says something about Goodman not being able to see his family and Zach not being able to see his kids. Goodman has kids, Zach was going to visit his family, not the other way around.
Suggested correction: With Zack's kids, Hodgins was referring to the 40 cousins and nephews that Zack has, and sees every Christmas.

Character mistake: When the zombies break into Buffy's house, she stakes one to check if it's a vampire. But she should know full well that it isn't a vampire as they all broke into her house without being invited.

100,000 BC - S1-E1
Character mistake: When Ian is trying to escape from the TARDIS in episode 1, he says, "He closed the door from over there, I saw him." It was in fact Susan who closed the door.

Character mistake: When Andy and Barney are looking through the yearbook, Barny's middle name is Milton. But Barney says many times throughout the series that his name is Bernard P. Fife.

The Kipper and the Corpse (a.k.a. Death) - S2-E4
Character mistake: When Sybil is telling Basil that the two men and the woman are coming to collect Mr Leeman but he's already pronounced dead, she tells her husband that they are coming to collect him "at lunchtime". However, his colleagues told Mr Leeman they'd collect him at 9:30 and not lunchtime.

Character mistake: Carrie tells Aayan that she can arrange for him to study at the Royal College of Physicians. The college isn't a medical school; it's a professional body.

Character mistake: When all the wives are in the van Lois calls Bonnie "Debbie".

Extinction - S4-E1
Character mistake: Happy determines that the nitrogen hydroxide ate through the drum because it was "steel alloy," in contrast with Walter's requirement that it be "pure steel." These terms are inaccurate, and would not be used by technical experts like Happy and Walter. Every steel is an alloy, combining at a minimum iron and carbon; steel with other alloying agents is called "alloy steel," not "steel alloy." Because steel doesn't refer to one specific substance, "pure steel" could never be used to specify a material for a given application.

Character mistake: When Stan tells the airplane pilot to go and get S-T-U-F-F-E-D over the radio, he incorrectly identifies himself as 'Sugar Tango' instead of 'Sugar Bertie'.

Character mistake: Stabler calls for an LPR check on a vehicle. The description of the vehicle he gives is for white Mazda Sentra. Mazda doesn't make a Sentra. Nissan makes the Sentra. (00:09:45)

Character mistake: In the first scene with Cameron after she walks away from John next to the lockers, there's a poster on a wall to the left. It contains the word "guidance" misspelled as "guidence".
Suggested correction: That characteristic was not added to the character until season two. In the first season, Data uses contractions on a number of occasions.
It's still a possible mistake, even if it wasn't part of season 1 scripting. Just because we only learn later that Data doesn't use contractions, doesn't make this mistake invalid. We learn Data was specifically constructed that way and hadn't been able to use contraction since being created, which means all of season 1 he shouldn't be using contractions. Although it would probably be best to submit it as a mistake in season 2 when it's mentioned that it contradicts what was established.

It would only be a mistake if he used the contraction after the trait was established for the character.
Possibly, but that's not how mistakes on this site work seem to work. It could still be a valid mistake in the context of the entire show since the character trait had in fact been established. It's the same way for when shows do something like establish a character's birth-date in later seasons, but when episodes from earlier season have the character at the wrong age. Although it would probably be best to submit it as a mistake in season 2 when it's mentioned that it contradicts what was established.
