Continuity mistake: Fluttershy's neck disappears after she says, "I don't know if I can cheer enough to help her".
Slave Island - S1-E7
Plot hole: After Storm's attempt to escape the Genoshan prison is thwarted, she ends up in the ocean right at the shoreline of the beach, where she is captured by a Sentinel. Aside from the fact that it makes no sense for a Sentinel to be hiding in the ocean in the event that a mutant tries to escape the prison, there is absolutely no way that a two-story tall robot could hide in the ocean right by the beach, as the water would be way too shallow. You can even see that the water level only goes up to the Sentinel's ankle area when it is standing upright in the ocean. (00:03:15)
Suggested correction: Perception. (1) The Sentinel isn't as close as it appears. If it were close, then she would have been caught in its waves as it emerges. Also, she would be looking only at its chest circle. It's several yards away. (2) She washes ashore. She fell from the sky. She couldn't have fallen from that great height into shallow water without hitting bottom. (3) It's also a two-story tall robot. Its weight would sink it into the sand. So it could have very well been down that deep.
Sentinel never sank into sand in other episodes.
Well, it's shown here.
Pooh's Double Trouble / Eeyore Sleeps on It - S1-E19
Factual error: The letters and symbols on the characters' reflections in the mirror look like their regular counterparts, when they're supposed to be in reverse.
Unicorn Club/Go Gomez! Go! - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When the cats are entering the race the height of the sign lowers when Waffle walks up.
Continuity mistake: The broken glass on Nathan's face and arms disappears when he is pouring out the rice, but reappears when he is yelling into the PA system.
Well Bargained and Done - S1-E2
Character mistake: Tybus says he has a lance of 5 mechs. In Battletech, a lance is 4 mechs. While a Clan star does have 5 mechs, Tybus is an Inner Sphere character.
Continuity mistake: Just after Otis makes the ghost sounds from inside the house, it shows the gang standing together outside the house. Otis is with them outside, which is impossible, as he is inside the house pretending to be the ghost.
Fiend is Like Friend Without the 'R' - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Mandy hits a baseball with one of Grim's bones, yet when we see Grim, there are none of his bones missing from his body.
The Secret Of The Juice - S1-E10
Continuity mistake: When Tummi goes looking for Zummi, Gruffi and Cubbi, he arrives right outside the barrel room. When first seen, the barrel room door is smooth, but in the next close-up the door suddenly has an iron grill window in its surface.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Thugnificent is giving Riley is new chain and holds a speech, we can see that Riley's chain is as long as Thugnificent's. However, when he actually hands it over to Riley and when Riley does wear it, the chain is considerably shorter to compensate for Riley's length. (00:10:10)
Half-Baked - S2-E2
Continuity mistake: There are three boxes of cupcakes stacked on the coffee table. However when Trixie picks them up, as the shot changes there are now five boxes of cupcakes. (00:12:10)
Happy Birthday, Kevin (or Happy Birthday, Douchebag) - S1-E12
Continuity mistake: After Carlos sees the snake on the pole he leaps off the roof onto the pole. When he jumps you can see it's quite a distance from the roof. After catching the snake he is holding onto the pole and asks to be helped back onto the roof. The other characters just put their hands out and pull him up. There was no way with the distance between the pole and the roof they could have come close to reaching him the way they did.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mr. H. Makes Bloo wash his hands, Mr. H takes off his gloves and washes his hands then dries them. Notice that as soon as he takes his hands out from underneath the towel his gloves are back on.
Continuity mistake: Before boarding her helicopter, Jade kisses Race as her head is turned towards her right shoulder. The next shot her head is turned towards her left shoulder.
Heart of Ice - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Batman is watching the security footage of Victor Fries' accident, at first Fries is addressing the camera directly which follows him and pans according to his movements and Ferris Boyle interrupting him, which would suggest a second person was in the room with a handheld camera. But after Ferris Boyle enters the room and orders Fries' experiment terminated, there are several cuts from various angles in the room suggesting surveillance cameras. The surveillance style footage also often conveniently cuts to the face of whichever person happens to be speaking or will cut to a certain angle in order to put emphasis on the action, all of which would require multiple mounted cameras and purposeful editing by either Boyle or one of his subordinates, which would be completely illogical since they don't want anyone to see the footage in the first place. Large Dragon at Large - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: To catch Ripley, Fred uses the remote to bring the draw bridge up. But Ripley manages to scale the bridge before it gets all the way up and falls into the moat below. As he surfaces, the draw bridge is instantly and suddenly down all the way again as the gang rush out onto it. (00:18:25)
Continuity mistake: When Kimiko says "Will you two please stop abusing the English language!", Raimundo's eyes are blue.
Neogenic Nightmare Chapter 11: Tablet of Time - S2-E9
Factual error: When Peter is walking Alissa home, the traffic signal at the intersection they stop at goes from red to yellow to green. Not what US traffic signals do - they go straight from red to green.
Suggested correction: Not entirely true; although they are rare and may no longer exist now, I've seen traffic lights that followed the red, yellow, green pattern as recently as the mid-1990s.
Interesting. What state (s) did you see this in? I'm assuming going from red to yellow was to encourage cars to cautiously enter the intersection in case someone was running a red light?
Traffic lights in the UK do this - it's more to give you a second to get ready, in gear, etc., then as soon as the lights turn green you can go. Otherwise you get no warning of when the lights are about to change.
In Illinois; as I said, such traffic lights are rare, but they did exist at least as recently as the time this episode of the series aired, and they may still possibly exist in larger cities such as New York City.
This traffic light set-up (red to yellow to green) still exists today in the UK. From what I understand, it is to alert the driver that the light will be turning green imminently and to prepare themselves to put their car in gear, as manual cars are still pretty common in Europe. I'd wager this light cycle was phased out of North America due to the abundance of automatic cars today. Could have been different in 1994 though.
It should be noted that traffic lights that go from red to yellow before going green keep the red light illuminated so that both red and yellow are lit up. However, that's not what happens in the scene. I've never seen a traffic light operate the way it's shown. And Massachusetts still has traffic lights that go from red to yellow, however, when red and yellow are lit up together, this allows for pedestrian crossing.
Continuity mistake: In early versions of the episode, Luz is shown wearing her Hexside school uniform before she even receives it. This mistake spoils the ending. Fortunately, it was fixed later on. (00:00:01 - 00:00:40)
Origin of Iron Man: Part 1 - S1-E11
Character mistake: When young Tony Stark is telling his father that their helicopter's anti-flak chip didn't kick in, he acknowledges that it was his fault by saying he blew it. When his father corrects him and says "No Tony, we blew it. Stark and Son," Tony defensively says "The anti-flak chip failed, it's not my fault," completely contradicting what he said seconds earlier. (00:14:00)
