Deliberate mistake: The entire time they spend in the trench, before they attack, Quinn has a white sheepskin jacket. It rains throughout the film yet with all the mud about you would think in about a day that this jacket would turn dark brown. It is still fairly white even when Quinn dies.
Deliberate mistake: When Constantine comes out of the library after speaking with Gabriel, he stands beside Angela and none of them cast any noticeable shadows on the door and walls behind them. When it cuts to a shot above them, shadows are more being cast behind them. This is probably because of different light settings on the set. (00:23:35)
Deliberate mistake: A shot that lasts three seconds is backwards. The previous shot is a point of view outside an elevator and it shows Maria descending into the workers' city. The very next shot is a point of view from inside the same elevator and it shows the elevator ascending out of the workers' city. (Observed in both the Kino and Madacy DVD's. Deliberate mistake: In many scenes bullets are shown striking things and sparking (this is especially visible on the attack on Knockout Ned's house when a bullet strikes a chair and gives off a huge spark of light). In real life, only special bullets with incendiary materials (meant for starting fires) cause sparks, and this is only when they're fired against metallic objects. It is impossible that a bullet striking a chair would give off a spark.
Deliberate mistake: After being arrested, Breaker, who is Northern African, a region where French is the second if not first native language and speaks with a French accent throughout the movie, pleads with the French authorities in English. (01:10:30)
Deliberate mistake: After Doyle and Gavin agree to meet at the court (right before Gavin's second highway crash), there is a scene of a taxi driving on the left side of the road. This shot was obviously flipped, as everyone in the U.S. drives on the right-hand side of the road. (01:00:15)
Deliberate mistake: In the Spanish version, the headlines of the newspapers are in Spanish, but the rest of the articles are in English. It helps supports the narration, but it causes a very weird effect.
Deliberate mistake: When Hulk meets his father at the lab, each one's eyes have a special light on them. This adds for dramatic effect, but it's absurd because there is no direct source of light since each one is in front of the other and their faces are in shade in the rest of the shots.
Deliberate mistake: When the teacher walks over the floor towards the blackboard, he walks through a lot of blood. However when it cuts, he leaves no traces of blood where he steps.
Deliberate mistake: When Andy opens the tap to the liquid plastic it is that some of the liquid squirts on his hand. That would hurt and stain, but Andy doesn't seem to care... (01:14:35)
Deliberate mistake: The same shot of the railway station concourse is used when Graham and George are heading to work, and also when George commits suicide. The giveaway is that several people are seen in the same position. (00:05:00 - 01:20:30)
Deliberate mistake: When the Crazy 88 crew is coming in to attack the bride they use one of the shots twice. It is the one that shows 1 guy jump over a banister and go to the left of the screen then another guy comes directly after him and heads directly towards the camera. It happens at 1:21:49 and 1:21:53. (01:21:45)
Deliberate mistake: DVD version : When Seagal flees from the dig, the car he drives changes from left side control to right side and back. (in close up - you can see the seat to his left).
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where the boys scratch off the paint on the window so they can look at the ice skaters getting dressed, there's a grille about 6 inches from the window. When viewed from outside their faces are pressed against the grille, but when the shot changes to inside the building looking at their eyes moving, their eyes are much closer to the window than the grille would allow. Deliberate mistake: When Selfridge says "Pull the plug" after Hometree is destroyed, two soldiers, one male and one female, go to shut off Jake and Grace's avatar links. The female soldier goes straight to Grace's link and terminates it, but the male soldier gets delayed (punched by Norm) before he can terminate Jake's link. This is deliberately shown out of sequence - we see Jake's link terminated before Grace's. The result is that we see Grace's avatar fall unconscious when Jake's link is terminated, and Jake's avatar fall unconscious when Grace's link is terminated.
Deliberate mistake: It is shown throughout the film that card keys are to be used to open the hotel room doors; this is a security measure that is used for doors in elegant and expensive hotels (if not all). There are no hotels that use this measure without having break-safe metal material inside of these doors, yet the killer and cops are shown breaking down doors fairly easily. Add to this the fact that only thin slices of wood are shown breaking off of the doors, not metal nor even the card-keying device.
Deliberate mistake: When everyone is surfing at night, the sound of the waves in the background is significant, as it should be. However, at one point, when Keanu and Lori are having an intimate conversation on the water, the sound of the waves disappear. The wave sounds resume in the next scene.
Deliberate mistake: At the end of the film its revealed all the murders were a hoax and everyone was in on the plan to set up Rex (Lee Majors). Why then exactly were Rachel (Vanessa Angel) and Patrice (Adrian Paul) talking together and pretending like they were trying to find the killer. In one of the scenes Rachel believes she has caught a photo of one of the men who she thought might be a killer and is showing Patrice, but Rex wasn't anywhere around. Therefore why were they pretending to find a killer or keep up the illusion whilst Rex wasn't around?
Deliberate mistake: The text the Master Control Program speaks in the human world is usually accompanied with a text projected on a computer screen. When Flynn attempts to hack into the system through the laser lab terminal, the Program is cut short at 'I'm afraid you.' (both on the screen and in speech) as Flynn progresses. In reality, however, it should be that the full text intended to be relayed by the MCP should be displayed on the screen, and only the speech gets interrupted. (00:29:40)
Deliberate mistake: The tanks used in the film are German "Leopards", never used by the US army.
