Factual error: In the DVD theatrical trailer for "Carrie," Stephen King's name is misspelled. It is spelled "Steven".

Factual error: When Santa is shown the miniscule print on the 'Santa Clause' card (that he is supposed to be/get married) the Elf holds an enormous lens in front of it, to make it easier for Santa to read the print. From the distance Santa is standing at, from his point of view the card should appear upside down.

Factual error: Towards the end of the film, Spiderman takes his web and uses it to connect to the different power conduits that Electro blew open, ties them together, and power the city back up. Electricity uses several different wires, and crossing them would cause things to blow up or short out. What should have happened when Gwen threw the switch was another power failure, instead of the city's power being restored.

Factual error: When Vlad goes into the Master Vampire's lair a second time, a Golden Knee Tarantula can be seen. These types of spiders are native to the Chaco region of Argentina, South America. Not in Eastern Europe.

Factual error: We are told at least twice that the airport scenes take place at Newark International Airport (now Newark Liberty Airport) in New Jersey, but one shot shows a sign that reads "Bienvenue a Montreal," showing where the scene was actually filmed.

Factual error: Casey arrives at the desert landing in a jeep that is flagged with 4 stars (for a 4 star general) although he is only a 3 star general (as evident by the 3 stars on his shoulder boards). (00:33:30 - 00:35:25)

Factual error: In the scene where Waternoose and Sully are talking, Waternoose gets himself some "coffee", which is sludgy and thick and takes quite a while to pour from the machine. Seconds later, he takes a very quick sip. Since the liquid was so thick and there was little in the cup, it would be impossible for it to pour that fast.

Factual error: In the fight scene in Lara's garage, she rides her motorbike towards the guy attacking her, does a front wheelie and knocks him out with the rear wheel by braking and turning the bike on its front wheel. The back end of the bike then gently lowers itself to the ground, rather than dropping heavily under the force of gravity.

Factual error: In the final scene, when Jack Sparrow is looking at the map to find the Fountain of Youth. The map lists Ponce de Leon's travel date of 1523. The actual date of the Fountain of Youth founding was 1513.

Factual error: At the end, Jamiel climbs one of the palace towers and, as a sign of victory, hoists the Arabian flag. Only thing: Baghdad was located in Persia (today's Iran and Iraq), not Arabia; and the shown flag, the green 'shahada', did not appear until the late 18th century. The ancient Persian flag, as far as I could find out, showed a star.

Factual error: After taking off from Bangor, the pilot pulls back on the flight control bringing the plane up to level flight. However, after taking off, a plane is "nose up" and would require pushing forward on the controls to bring the nose down to level. This is also evident by looking at the attitude indicator (circle with top half blue and bottom half brown). The white line indicates the horizon and you can watch the indicator show the plane's attitude coming from below horizon (nose down) to the horizon (level flight).

Factual error: Irena, the central character of Cat People, says she is of Serbian ancestry, and that her ancestors fought the Mamluks for their national freedom. Serbia was part of the Islamic Ottoman Empire between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries. The Mamluks were a military caste who ruled Egypt between 1250 and 1517. To say the Serbs fought the Mamluks for freedom would be comparable to saying that the USA fought the Vikings for independence in 1776.

Factual error: Superman begins shooting his super intense heat vision at the soldiers attacking him and the other heroes. His vision cuts boats in half, and incinerates the soldiers into ash in an instant. The lasers from his eyes are super strength, with him not yet knowing how to hold any of it back or shut it off, and it is going through the soldiers and boats. Yet the vision leaves no damage at all to the ground the soldiers were standing on, nor does it create any steam when going across the water cutting boats in half. (00:52:15)

Factual error: Near the end of the movie, Jacob takes a cab to go back to Brooklyn, supposedly from another part of New York. However, in the next shot, we see that at the beginning of the ride, they are already in Brooklyn (on Division Ave, for those who know Brooklyn).

Factual error: In the rat revival scene, Dr. Terra Wade, an electrophysiologist, demands that the other scientist, Dr. Bell increase the current, going as high as 200 joules. However, current is measured in amperes (amps), joules is a unit of energy.

Factual error: The head master of the school criticizes Belle for "teaching another girl to read." But beginning in 1692, well before the movie is set, all parents in France were required, by royal decree, to send all their children, boys and girls, to school until at least age 13.

Factual error: Sean Astin and Pauly Shore find link buried in a block of ice that is in sunny California. Even buried underneath the fifteen feet of soil where it was found, a block of ice could not exist.

Factual error: When Liz and Abe's plane crashes, it sinks far too quickly to be realistic. Also, from the sheer amount of force the plane hit the water with, both should easily have died. Obviously done for dramatic effect, but still a mistake.

Factual error: Rosemary calls Dr. Hill from a pay phone and says, "The baby's due on Tuesday, you remember you told me June 28th" (and June 28th 1966 does fall on a Tuesday). In the previous scene in Dr. Sapirstein's office his receptionist is making an appointment "next week" for a patient and that date is "July 10th" indicating that if Rosemary is due on June 28th (which she says is next Tuesday) the dates do not match and it must still be the week of June 20th which is at least two weeks before July 10th. (01:44:45)

Factual error: In the air raid scene at the beginning of the film, the burning car is a 1950s Ford Popular.
