Factual error: In the final scene where Congress is supposedly passing the bill, they are still in the committee room. Bills are not passed there, but in the actual meeting halls of the House and the Senate.

Factual error: When the Petrox engineers dump Kong into the pit filled with chloroform they haven't knocked him out - they've killed him. Chloroform vapour is heavier than air so Kong is breathing it in a pretty pure form - and it is lethal in concentrations as low as 40,000 parts per million. In the time it would take to render a gorilla unconscious by this method, it would die. This ignores the fact that liquid chloroform is a severe irritant and a contact poison, and its breakdown products include phosgene and hydrogen chloride, both deadly poisons. They might as well save themselves some time and use that dinky little bulldozer to fill in the pit.

Factual error: Every time the silver nitrate is shown on clothing, it is shown as silver. Silver nitrate in fact is black once exposed to light.

Factual error: In the beginning where Tooth is sending her fairies to various regions, she sends a few to Moscow, stating that there are "22 incisors and 18 premolars" that need collecting. Premolars are not baby teeth; they are permanent adult teeth. (00:06:10)

Factual error: When Dorothy runs away from the hospital she is chased by a nurse, who has a torch. Earlier in this film the doctor said they two months away from the 20th century which gives the year as 1899. Such a modern torch that the nurse had was not invented yet.

Factual error: When Angela is watching the security video on her laptop of her sister committing suicide, you can see she's playing it using Quicktime. She rewinds a couple of seconds by clicking on the first button of the video player. Actually, when you click this button, it takes you to the beginning of the video. The second button would have rewound it a short time. (00:25:20)

Factual error: As the Thug Zombie is on top of the lawnmower and is getting hacked to bits, his body parts don't fly off. His arms would've gone everywhere when the blade reached his shoulders, and the same goes for his head. (01:29:15)

Factual error: When the archangels jump from the helicopter, the "bait" is looking behind him saying he can see the dragon. For a parajumper to look between his legs to view behind himself, he would de-arch and thus de-stabilise himself while travelling at that speed. It would send the jumper into a barrel-roll spin.

Factual error: While featuring a brand-new 1962 Cadillac, a 1963 Chevrolet and 1963 Ford are shown.

Factual error: In beginning scene with the shark, it growls when it sees Lara. C'mon, how many sharks actually growl? (00:14:15)

Factual error: At the start of the war, it says Fort Sumter 1861. However, on the battlefield we see the US flag with 35 stars. In April 1861, there were only 33 states.

Factual error: As the X-Men land in Cairo, scenes reveal the destruction Magneto is wreaking around the world, where it is simultaneously daylight in New York, Sydney and Cairo - it is possible for it to be daylight in two of these locations at once, but not all three. (01:46:00)

Factual error: When Wolverine is being chased after the explosion of the barn, there's a Humvee chasing the motorcycle. The movie is supposed to take place in the late 70's - the Humvee started production in 1984 and started service in the late 80's.

Factual error: When Mr. Gaunt puts the jacket on Hugh, he says it's 1955 all over again. The flashback occurs and Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire" is playing on the car stereo. However, "Great Balls of Fire" wasn't released until 1957.

Factual error: The license plate of the car that takes the protagonist to the sanitarium is GR 36E46. That's not a valid Swiss plate: GR indicates the canton of Graubünden, but other than that it is supposed to have only digits and no letters.

Factual error: When True Heart skydives down to Earth, she is wearing goggles with a wraparound strap. She takes these off and drops them in her backpack where Baby Swift Heart is hiding. When he pops up a split second later wearing the goggles, the strap is under his bonnet.

Factual error: After putting Jenna in the closet, everyone crowds together and plan to leave. One girl holds a diet coke can, which is obviously a more modern design, and not from 1980's. (00:10:30)

Factual error: In the final scene where the gas grill blows up, the arm that falls to the table in front of the mother is not from a teenager - it is nearly twice as large as the young man's arms (as previously seen in multiple scenes). Some people say it's a leg, but if that's so it's a bit odd having fingers on the right side of it... (01:25:11)

Factual error: When Cecelia and her friends are in the car, following Aquamarine, Hailey, and Claire to the water tower, they aren't that far away - probably less than thirty feet - yet the other girls don't hear their car approaching.
