Other mistake: When the Grinch is cutting Max's antler, the pieces that have fallen on the floor suddenly jump several inches closer to Max.
Other mistake: Near the beginning, Scrooge leaves Scrooge & Marley and walks home. As a result Bob Cratchit and the book keepers clean up and Bob Cratchit locks up with a key. Yet the next day when Scrooge gives gifts to the other book keepers, not only is Scrooge able to get inside without a key, the door is unlocked as well. (00:16:45 - 01:16:05)
Other mistake: When they first arrive at the North Pole, one of the elves appears to be sliding along. His legs and arms are not moving, and his head is not bobbing up and down.
Other mistake: When the Penguin is talking on the staircase to his audience of voters, he gives a badge to one young woman. As he lifts it up it is clearly a pin-on design button, however the Penguin leans forward as presses the badge against her blouse as if it were a stick-on design. The badge then stays on the blouse and doesn't fall. (01:00:30)
Other mistake: When Ponies are flying back home from North Pole, you can see Cotton Candy among them. as a pegasus.
Other mistake: The ink on the pad and the ink on the stamp that Fred marks the kids "nice" are wrong. If you look at it Fred doesn't hit all the colors in the pad. He only hits one color.
Other mistake: Nora spends a long time trying to get a Hickory Honey Ham (because it is Blairy's favorite). Finally, Marty brings one to the party. After Blair and Enrique arrive, Nora puts some ham on his plate, commenting yet again that it is Blairy's favorite. Yet when Luther goes across the street, he takes *them* the prized Hickory Honey Ham - still in the can.
Suggested correction: He carries Mel's brand ham across the street, not Honey Hickory Ham, to the neighbors. He even mentions it's made mostly of a gelatinous product.
But in the Supermarket the Honey Ham is a Mel's. There's a big sign in the store when the lady gets it before Nora.
Other mistake: The traveling camera used during the opening credits is not positioned correctly; it is tilted to the right, causing the whole scene to be crooked.
Other mistake: Right before 'La Vie Boheme' in the Life Cafe, just after the host requests that the tables not be moved, Angel says 'Hey ROSIE, let's push these tables together.' Rosie is the name of the actress (Rosario Dawson,) the character's name is Mimi.
Other mistake: Stripe manages to get the TVs and video camera working in the department store even though Kate hadn't turned the power on yet.
Other mistake: The narrator says that the train stopped to let the train filled with Christmas carolers go by, but the train passed after the train had already crossed the tracks, so there was no need to wait. (00:19:30)
Other mistake: Considering how long the Prime Minister's car is parked outside in front of the only road into the school, where there is to be the school Christmas concert, it's surprising how many cars are still trying to find a parking space. Also, you can see that no cars are driving when Natalie gets out of the Prime Minister's car.
Other mistake: At the start of the movie it shows the house at front view and the sky is very very grey, it looks like it's about to rain, then after a short scene inside the house it goes back outside and the sky is clearly blue with not a cloud in sight. (00:12:00)
Other mistake: When Buddy reaches inside the fuse box, after Finch puts snow in it. They cut right from him pulling it out to show his hands and there is a snowball in his hands. We do not see a snowball in the fuse box and he does not have time to shape one.
Other mistake: In the Christmas party scene all the soldiers are in uniform wearing military boots. Except Bing Crosby, who is in his uniform wearing brown dress shoes, in a war zone. (00:03:00)
Suggested correction: Crosby is wearing dress shoes because he is on stage, entertaining the troops with dancing and singing. It would be hard to do a "soft shoe" tap dance in combat boots. Danny Kaye is wearing boots, but he only does a few simpler dance steps. Crosby is the main entertainer and he would change back into his combat boots once the show was over.
Bombs dropping around them. So shiny brogues were out of the question... and you can't call what Bing does was a dance.
Other mistake: When Martha May is getting ready to put up her lights with the cannon, she pulls a charging handle, and starts firing. If you watch closely, you see a lit string of lights come out, but the spool that they're on isn't moving, or lit up. Then after all of the lights are out, it still fires several more times (watch the aiming indicator- it continues to flash with the sound).
Other mistake: When "Santa" (Billy Bob Thornton) is in the bar with his mother, the bartender tells him that "smoking is not allowed in here." In the next scene, "Santa" is shown tapping his cigarette on an ashtray. If no smoking, why is there an ashtray?
Other mistake: Towards the end, when Riggs runs up to Murtaugh just after the car explodes, Riggs is carrying a large machine gun in his right hand. He runs up to the police barricade, but the police officer won't let him by until he shows him his ID. The police officer completely ignored the fact that Riggs was holding a large gun and could have been a criminal who wanted to use it.
Other mistake: When Howard is running behind the car driven by the lady in the fur coat, he's always shown directly behind the center of the car, but when the lady looks in her side mirror (from her point of view), Howard is in the center of the mirror. In reality, she would only see a part of Howard's left side in the reflection (not his whole body).
Other mistake: Scrooge drops several gold coins into Mole's hat and places the hat on Mole's head. When Mole removes the hat, there are at least 40 coins but Rat exclaims, "Twenty gold sovereigns!" (00:00:22)
