Austin Powers in Goldmember picture

Deliberate mistake: When Mr. Roboto is offering Austin a mushroom, the subtitles lead Austin to think Mr. Roboto is asking him to eat some shit, until Foxy reveals more of the subtitles to say "Please eat some shitake mushrooms." The correct spelling for this kind of mushroom is "shiitake." They had to cheat on the spelling in order to make the joke work.

Deliberate mistake: When Rambo attacks the POW camp with the Hue helicopter you can at one point see that the rocket pods carries 7 rockets each, however during the attack Rambo launches roughly 26 rockets from each pod as they fire simultaneously.

Deliberate mistake: When the Neski file exchange takes place in the beginning, the Russian says "You can see who stole the money" and the camera shows the Russian documents. The documents (written in Russian), are in fact, a "Journal of Military Activity of Russian Army in April 1945." It is completely bogus and have nothing to do with the film. (00:07:15)

Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life picture

Deliberate mistake: When Lara and Terry escape the Shay-Ling, they are shown leaving the area and pass a sign that says 'Shanghai - 74 KM.' On a remote mountain passage, coming from a presumably well-secluded encampment. In English. Fat chance. (00:47:45)

Van Helsing picture

Deliberate mistake: In the first sequence, you see a man riding on the wooden battering-ram, and you can see where two different shots of the same man were spliced together, as the background suddenly shifts from being a forest, to being the exterior of the town, where the stone wall is. It was meant to be one single shot, but you can just see how the trick works. (00:00:30)

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted picture

Deliberate mistake: When Julien is about to pull the switch to turn the power off in the Monte Carlo casino, the sign above the switch says "LE POWER." Monte Carlo is in Monaco, where the language is French, so the sign should be in French. Obviously "THE" is in French as "LE." But "POWER" is not in French. The sign should have said "LE POUVOIR." Without a Paddle picture

Deliberate mistake: When it starts raining so that "things couldn't be worse" according to Seth Green, the younger fat hillbilly pulls out an umbrella. Why would he have one when he is trying to hunt someone down and kill them? This was obviously put in for comedic purposes but doesn't play well in the movie. (01:05:40)

The Wizard of Oz picture

Deliberate mistake: Before Dorothy is sent to Kansas there's a close-up of her shoes. All of the group's feet, Glinda's dress, and the rest of the elements around are gone and replaced by a black background. Despite being a deliberate directorial decision to give the shoes a more dramatic focus, it is really awkward to see everything disappear, nevertheless.

Back to the Future Part III picture

Deliberate mistake: During the train sequence at the end of the film in 1885, it is blatantly obvious that the train is not going the speed that the DeLorean's speedometer is showing. In some shots, the train looks as though it is going little more than 20mph. (01:38:55)

The Aristocats picture

Deliberate mistake: I know this has been disregarded for the fun effect, but gasoline motors require air to work. When Edgar drives his tricycle into the river while being chased by Napoleon and Lafayette, it should have stalled and stopped working.

Deliberate mistake: When Gale and Lucy see the Blue Star for the first time on the Volcanic island, on the second shot of the beach, the sea and the boat and star, the view from the beach, it is a still picture, the waves are not moving. All of the characters are moving but the sea is perfectly still.

Deliberate mistake: In the infamous coin toss scene, Cuba's call is disputed. However, it appears that the coin on the ground is in fact in agreement with his call. However, he explains later that they use a special commemorative coin that is hard to read as it may have what appears to be a head on both sides. Therefore, the coin may have had a head come up, but it was agreed that that side would be 'tails'.

Mad Max 2 picture

Deliberate mistake: When Max opens the dog food, the lid should be all jagged because of the type of can opener he uses, but when dog and the gyro captain have the can the lid is cut smoothly. This was done so dog didn't get cut whilst eating out of the can.

The Suicide Squad picture

Deliberate mistake: When King Shark grabs the guard from behind and eats him, he screams loudly, but nobody reacts to it, not even his buddy who just went left to fetch a drink. Later Cena and Elba kill 'silently' every other guard, but when they get to a group of three that Bloodsport yo-yos to death, it's pretty impossible that those three could have missed the carnage just a little off to the left. Then again, at the end a whole tower gets demolished without anyone noticing, so It'has to be deliberate. (00:33:05)

Deliberate mistake: When Dave is in the pod arguing with Hal to let him back in, various patterns of light are projected on Dave's face presumably from the video screens that say NAV and COM and such. Light on such a screen would diffuse and not project like this. It is likely those screens had rear projection and they merely removed the screens for this effect.

Suggested correction: Incorrect. She's not wet when she comes out of the water. She emerges from the water dry in an (incredibly wonky) effects shot. Why she's dry coming out of the water is unclear, but it presumably has something to do with the teleportation process for how she got to Earth considering her costume also suddenly appears on her as well.

LEGO Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite picture

Deliberate mistake: When Lex busts Joker out of Arkham Asylum, he uses his Deconstructor gun on the LEGO wall. It takes it about 8 seconds to pull the LEGO apart for Joker to get out. The same amount of time is taken when he demonstrates it to Joker and frees Penguin. Yet when Joker grabs it and uses it to free Catwoman and Two-Face, that time is cut in half. And then yet again when they are leaving on the chopper, Joker fires it 3 more times, freeing Poison Ivy, Harley Quin, and The Riddler. It barely takes a single second on each of those.
