Question: If all of the base DNA for the dinosaurs in the park was obtained from dino-blood inside mosquitoes, where did they get the DNA for the Mosasaurus from? A flying blood-sucking insect would not come into contact with a sea dwelling dinosaur, and there are no amber-equivalents in the ocean to trap any sea based blood suckers.
Answer: And what about just digging for bones for the Mosasaurus? I think this was said somewhere-although I can't remember where so apologies if I'm wrong-but I think Dr. Wu mentioned something about it, so I'm sure they could've gotten DNA WITHOUT getting the blood from a mosquito. It sounds possible in my opinion.
Chosen answer: The scientific inaccuracy of the mosquitoes/DNA notwithstanding, at the end of the film the Mosasaurus surfaces at the edge of its pool in order to drag in the Indominus Rex. Assuming the Mosasaurus did the same thing to catch prey in its own time period, it's feasible a mosquito could have landed on its body and extracted some blood in that short amount of time, especially if the prey was putting up resistance.
And a mosquito would always be in that area and be keen on getting blood from that particular dinosaur? Plus, it didn't take much for the Indominus to be taken down since the Mosasaurus is kind of a big creature, so how hard would it be for other animals to be taken down as well? Added, the Mosasaurus was being fed a shark when we first meet it; it's not like it was hunting on its own in an enclosed area.
Mosquitoes are everywhere, so it's not a matter of convenience that one would be in the same area and being keen on going after that particular animal. Plus, I just pulled up the scene on YouTube and it takes close to 10 seconds for the Mosasaurus to drag the Indominous Rex to its doom, which is plenty of time for a mosquito to land on it and extract blood. And as I stated in the answer, the explanation of DNA being harvested from preserved mosquitoes is scientifically inaccurate anyway, so even a tenuous explanation of how a mosquito would get that animal's blood is no more tenuous than dinosaurs being brought back to life in the first place.
Question: What was the "note" Liam Neeson wrote and died holding in the movie?
Chosen answer: It is the list of all the people he killed during his tenure as the "muscle". He promised the list to the detective if the detective agrees to protect his son.
Question: When the game is loading, sometimes there is a picture of a Pontiac Firebird but it is not a most wanted event, or a car you can use to beat races. Can you get the Firebird? And if so, how do you get it?
Chosen answer: It's available only as downloadable content by buying the "Movie Legends Pack". It's the 1977 Firebird from Smokey and the Bandit film.
Question: Mark Hoffman, and his sister Angelina Acomb. Why don't they have the same last name?
Question: In the last scene with the park ranger he is siting in his SUV completely motionless as if he is dead. The ranger does not even blink. The door is open, door alarm sounding and a ladder is leaning against the SUV instead of leaning against the fence or being on top of the SUV. What is wrong with the ranger?
Answer: He's in shock.
Question: Outside of the castle, when you walk around the castle, to the waterfall there is an underwater hole. Can someone tell me where this hole leads to?
Chosen answer: It doesn't lead anywhere - it is an exit from a bonus star level if you end up dying.
Question: SPOILER: When Scott invades the helicopter to stop Cross, Cross appears in the Yellowjacket armour. The Yellowjacket armour before this was placed inside glass casing and was miniaturised. My question here is, how exactly did Cross get the Yellowjacket armour to human size before putting it on?
Chosen answer: The suit was built human-size and then shrunk using Pym particles. The same technology can also be used to grow objects. Cross was shown to have a hand-held device earlier in the film capable of shrinking, so he either used this device, or activated the suit's built-in growing/shrinking technology.
Question: Why was Captain America unable to hold Thor's hammer? He fought to protect his country. He saved the lives of innocent people and wasn't afraid to back away from any kind of danger so he should have been able to lift it. Ultron said that the reason none of them could lift it is because they were all killers but that's really just speculation.
Answer: He can pick up the hammer, he didn't want to upset Thor.
Answer: He's able to move it just barely, enough to impress Thor. It's an enchantment on the hammer that requires a combination of strength and righteousness. He might not be there yet, but he's on the way. Thus the hammer moves more than anyone else could.
Question: It is 1968, and in the trailer it says "42 B.G" which 42 years later would be 2010, which is the first film. But the ending of this movie implies that the minions have been working for Gru since he was a child. So why is "42 years Before Gru"?
Chosen answer: The writers wanted to keep Gru's cameo at the end of the film a secret for the fans of the franchise. So, saying "42 Years B.G" (before Gru) in the trailer doesn't give the surprise away.
Question: In the scene just before Ashley and Ashlyn die, Ashlyn, the brunette, (I think), asks Ashley why she's wearing underwear and Ashley says it's because Simon gets off on tan lines. Now I know who Simon is but, what does she mean by "he gets off on tan lines"? Is this a turn on or something?
Answer: For some guys yes, it is a powerful turn on. Tan lines appear when the sun hits the legs, etc. but not the bits covered by clothing, hence "tan lines" appear where the skin goes from bronze to white.
Question: In the scene just before Erin dies, they are talking about if anyone else was on the ride and Ian makes a comment about a guy in a black cloak and how the ride attendant took his sickle, (or whatever), before the ride started. I know it's supposed to be a joke but what's a "sickle" and what did he mean by his comment?
Answer: A sickle is a harvesting tool with a crescent-shaped blade (with the sharp edge on the inside) as seen on the old USSR flag (along with a hammer). It's a reference to Death, who is most often seen dressed in black cloak with a scythe. On rare occasions Death has a sickle, but more often it's people confusing the two tools or thinking the words are synonymous. Plus, it's easier for some people to say "sickle" than "scythe." Ian is saying Death is on the ride.
Question: In the courtroom scene Tommy Lee Jones' character says "That's a pretty suit, Sharon." She says, "Drop dead, Roy!" Susan Sarandon's name is Reggie. Am I mistaken about hearing the name Susan?
Question: What happens to the soldier that kills the Lone Survivor?
Answer: This question makes no sense. The Lone Survivor doesn't get killed. That's why he's the Lone "Survivor".
Question: A glass casket with a key inside it is shown in John's warehouse. What does that mean?
Answer: It plays an important role in the next few movies.
Answer: This was revealed by director Darren Bousman to have originally been used in a now-deleted (and not released as of Oct. 2020) scene in the movie. The glass box is used for what is (most likely) a different purpose in Saw V.
Question: Why is everybody mean to Clopin?
Chosen answer: No one is mean to Clopin in the movie. But he is a gypsy and the people in Paris don't like the gypsies.
