Question: Since Vincent (Malcolm's ex patient who shot him) can also see ghosts, is there any connection with him and Cole or is it just an amazing coincidence?

Answer: There is no direct connection between Cole and Vincent, and it is not really a coincidence. Cole and Vincent did not know each other, but they shared the same ability to see and hear ghosts. After Malcolm was shot and killed, he sought out Cole without understanding that he himself was dead. Vincent was Malcolm's patient and had been deeply troubled because he also saw ghosts. Malcolm is somehow driven to find and help Cole understand and to accept his ability to see and speak to the deceased.

Question: Who is Vivian's friend that's always hanging out with her? I don't think her name is ever mentioned in the film.

Answer: I don't recall her name mentioned in the film either, but after a look on IMDB, I believe the actress is Samantha Lemole, who is credited in the movie as 'Claire'.

Question: How is Elle able to keep Bruiser with her at Harvard? Last time I checked, pets are not allowed.

Answer: This is a fictional story and whatever the real rules may be at Harvard, they can be changed to fit the movie's plot. In the film, Elle is allowed to have Bruiser.

Question: What the heck was Enid talking about with Warner at the party?

Answer: She was talking about the word "semester." Since it is similar to the word "semen," Enid says that the word favors males. She wants to change it to "ovester." Since that word is similar to the word "ovary," it would favor females.

Question: How did Tiana know that Naveen was going to marry Lottie? We don't find out until later that Lottie has to kiss Naveen in order for the spell to be broken and sure Lottie was attracted to Naveen but still, marriage wasn't mentioned so how did Tiana know? Did I miss something?

Answer: Naveen told Tiana about his plan to marry Lottie once they arrived in the swamp. After revealing that he's been cut off by his parents, he explains that he plans to regain his wealth by marrying her so that he'll inherit her father's prosperity.

Answer: Mama Odie tells Tiana and Naveen that Naveen must kiss a true princess in order to break the spell. Lottie is the princess of the Mardi gras parade so that would make her a princess and that would make it necessary for her to kiss Naveen and break the spell.

Tiana knew that Naveen was going to marry Lottie because Naveen tells her when they are running away from danger in the bayou. Naveen says 'when I marry Miss Charlotte LaBouff...' in an attempt to explain to Tiana how he intends to be rich again.

Question: An alien taking the form of a blonde guy from a video game tells the heroes that if they defeat Donkey Kong, the invasion will end. Who is the blonde guy anyway?

Answer: That's the character Max Headroom, who was a fictional AI who had his own TV program as well as made many other media appearances throughout the mid to late 1980s, even appearing in a series of TV ads for Coca-Cola in the US. He was portrayed by actor Matt Frewer, who reprised the role for this film; you can learn more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Headroom_ (character).

Question: The aliens in the form of Hall and Oates tell the heroes that the rules have been violated and they will attack. How and why were they violated?

Answer: The rules were violated when Eddie used cheat codes during the "Pac-Man" round in order to have an unfair advantage over the aliens; this is similar to how Xbox achievements and/or PS3/4 trophies are disabled when cheat codes are active.

Question: The Gorg almost got an invitation from Oh, but didn't get it. So, how did it know to come to Earth?

Answer: Gorg was tracking the "shusher"

Answer: It was tracking the "shusher" or his kids.

Question: When trying to find a way to rescue the hostages, why pose as a film crew? Why not as a bunch of tourists?

Answer: A film crew is more credible than a group of tourists being involved in this type of activity. Tourists' behavior would be more limited and subject to being noticed by authorities if they acted in a unusual manner. A film crew would have access to more out-of-the-way locations, and if they acted suspiciously, could pass it off as it being part of making a movie.

Question: At the start of the film, when Soze kills Keaton, the camera pans to the piles of rope that, later in the film, is shown to be the hiding place for Verbal as he 'watches' Keaton get shot. As Verbal is later found out to in fact be Soze, what is the significance of the rope, surely no one is hiding there? As Verbal is the one that is shooting Keaton? Was there someone else hiding that we don't know?

Answer: So I think the movie is implying that Verbal is behind the ropes, which later we learn is a lie. So I guess that shot is thrown in to keep the audience fooled. Also, if Marquez is the only one who knows what Keyser looks like, how can the burnt Hungarian describe him after the boat blew? Because he was not behind the ropes watching, he was in a drain pipe.

The Hungarian described him because he was on the boat killing guys. Verbal wasn't in the drain pipe, that was Marquez Remember they found him tossed from the boat in the drain pipe with 2 gunshots to the head.

Answer: The rope is a metaphor for the story/deception; wound together to obscure the truth. Is Verbal hiding there? We think he is until we know better but by then it is too late, just like it was too late when Keaton finally realised the truth.

Answer: Every visual from Kint's tale isn't 100% believable...that's just where Kint said he was hiding. He was actually killing the crew and the witness at that point.

Question: How did Brittany even know Toby's phone number, and why would Ian sit his phone right next to them?

Answer: Alvin could have easily known Toby's number and told it to her. Ian just simply put down his phone not even thinking that the chipettes could get at it from inside of the carrier.

Question: Just out of curiosity but in the scene with Nedry's encounter with the Dilophosaurus (or whatever), I was wondering, why would the Dilophosaurus wait until Dennis got inside the jeep to kill him? Why not kill him while he was passed out?

Answer: There is no way to realistically answer that because so little is known about dinosaur behavior. Any answer would be a guess with no way to verify its or any other dinosaur's behavior. From a movie standpoint, this is merely a means to keep the audience in suspense-will Nedry survive or won't he? Just when it appears he is safe, the dilophosaurus fatally attacks.

raywest

In the book, Nedry is killed before getting back in the car. This change was adapted for the film audience.

Answer: Also the producers probably wanted to keep the movie PG 13. If they showed the attack on Nedry it might have made the movie rated R.

Question: With many of the actors playing central characters reprising their roles, does anyone know why the princesses were re-cast?

Bishop73

Chosen answer: Kimberley Kates (who played Elizabeth in the first film) said in an interview on a B&T fan podcast that she and Diane Franklin were scheduled to reprise the roles, but then heard that they had been recast. She believed it was because the English director Peter Hewitt did not like English characters being played by American actresses.

Question: In 700 years, everyone on board the Axiom has grown very fat, lived their whole life on hover chairs and kept their faces buried in their screens. So where did all of the children come from? Every adult only looked at or talked to each other through the screens so how could any children exists if the adults never left the hover chair. That kind of ongoing lifestyle should not have produced any children at all and after about 200 or even 300 years all life aboard the Axiom and other ships should have been wiped out.

Answer: In vitro? Cloning? The fact that being fat doesn't stop people from wanting to have sex? There are many ways and they all work.

Question: In 1955 when Doc and Marty are in the outdoor cinema and Marty is accelerating to 88mph to jump back in time to 1885, doc shouts something to him in celebration as Marty Drives past him, he also fires his gun in the air... Do you know what he shouts? The subtitles just say "shouts something in Spanish" but id love to know what he said and what it means?

TDFarthing

Chosen answer: "Vaya con dios!", Spanish for "Go with God".

Sierra1

Answer: The subtitles are wrong! I always heard him shout "to the ends of the Earth " A reference to Jules Verne (keeping that theme running all through the third movie) and to Marty's adventures. Not only is this what I've heard every time I've watched this film, but it makes much more sense.

This is incorrect. He does in fact yell "Vaya con dios." The scene is available on Youtube and he can be seen and heard saying it at the 2:47 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV9udBGZio4.

Question: Why was Little Bill so protective of the two cowboys that had bounties on their heads? And why was he so vengeful when they were both killed? He didn't know them.

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: I think Little Bill takes offense to this sort of thing taking place in his town on his watch. He tells Mr. Beauchamp while he is writing his biography something like, "I do not like assassins, or men of low character."

Answer: Little Bill wanted to be sure that the cowboys would live at least long enough to pay compensation to the owner of the saloon/brothel for disfiguring one of the prostitutes; Bill became furious when the cowboys were killed because they would never be able to make good on their agreement of compensation.

zendaddy621

The cowboys bring in their ponies and pay off their debt early in the film. "Davey Boy" even brings in an extra pony especially for Delilah, which he calls the "best in the lot." (Which the other whores promptly reject and begin throwing dung at them). Both cowboys are killed long after they pay their debt to Skinny.

There is a scene where the two cowboys come to town and pay the required compensation in horses.

Question: After Emery has his fingers cut off and everyone is trapped in the room, Nick informs everyone that Kevin Bollinger hung himself in the Mirror Library after letting Emery's mother into the house. This would make him a ghost obviously, but this creates a problem. How has he been able to appear as a ghost for so long if he must have been alive to let Emery's mother into the house? Did I miss something?

Rosie John

Chosen answer: It was actually the bloated corpse of Kevin that let Emery's mother in, so he wasn't alive when letting her in.

Bishop73

Answer: Then Nick should have said he hung himself before letting Emery's mother in. Also, he turned into a bloated corpse pretty fast but the house has a way of playing tricks.

Show generally

Question: I barely remember an episode where a personal video in question was to be viewed in the judge's chambers. Of course Dan wanted to be in on the viewing. Before Harry left the bench his court clerk or the defense made a comment (do not know which clerk or defense) regarding the viewing of the tape. Harry answered something to the effect that they were going to review the tape for the four (or five) points of interest of a woman's anatomy. She stands there while the men all follow Harry out of the court room. The person (clerk or defense) silently and slowly counted on her fingers and then looks up and says, "Oh my God." Does anyone know which episode this was?

TimBo266

Answer: Season 1 episode 3 "The Former Harry Stone".

Bowling255

Question: Why did Dumbledore give Snape the dual teacher/spy position after James and Lily were murdered? Voldemort was presumed to be defeated by baby Harry, so there was no reason for Dumbledore to need a spy.

Answer: Dumbledore knew that by using Dark Magic, a practice Voldemort was highly skilled in, it was possible for the Dark Lord to still be alive in some form and could one day return. His Death Eater followers were also still active, and Snape would be able to spy on them to discover if or when Voldemort was re-emerging.

Question: Forgive me if this question sounds stupid - I was eight years old when the movie came out, and I didn't use a phone a lot. Why is Casey not surprised that the caller was able to dial her the second time? From my experience, wrong numbers are often caused by people accidentally dialing wrong. It would be suspicious to me if a person could "accidentally" punch in the same wrong number twice. But she simply asks why he did it, then accepts his apology.

Answer: I wouldn't have found it suspicious at all if it happened to me. With the exception of some really old phones, a lot had a redial button which would call your last number even if you did dial incorrectly.

Answer: It's possible to dial a wrong number twice. She might've thought the person had made the same mistake again.
