Continuity mistake: Toward the end, Klink removes his monocle while talking to Hogan about the oil. Through the next few cuts between them, the monocle is off. When Hogan goes to leave, there is a shot from behind Klink, and he doesn't move, yet the next closeup of Klink shows the monocle in place.

Continuity mistake: Hogan dumps a bucket of water on Barnes and Davis each, to make it look like they were the ones who hid in the tanker. They get big wet patches on their uniforms from it, but aren't completely wet through and through - which is to be expected, after all it's just a small bucket of water each. After the next cut however, they are completely soaked like they went swimming.

Continuity mistake: After saying that Michaels disappeared, truck and all, Klink brings his hands together, and interlaces his fingers. A second later, the fingers interlace again.

Continuity mistake: In Klink's office, as Hogan tries to make a fast exit, Klink calls him back with "I'm not finished with you yet." As he does, his hands are clasped in front of him, then a second later, they are down on the desk.

Continuity mistake: As Klink comes out to see the Officer's club, you can see Hogan is on the ground, and Kinchloe is on the boat by the shade. After a quick close up on Hogan, Hogan's suddenly on board, and Kinch has disappeared in a second.
Continuity mistake: Hogan and company use red painted gold bricks to replace the wooden stairs that they sabotaged. The steps after this episode should have been brick, but they went back to being wooden.
Suggested correction: This is technically correct; however, the series was set up to allow the episodes to be aired in any order; this is why it is always winter and some episodes do refer to other storylines and actual events/dates for episode storylines, e.g., Hogan's D-Day, which took place in June, not wintertime.
Continuity mistake: When Schultz comes out, he talks to the guard posted there. A moment later, the guard is gone.
Continuity mistake: After the POWs cut the stairs outside Col. Klink's office, Sgt. Schultz walks down them. There is a guard standing to his right. After a switch to show the POWs, when the camera goes back to the stairs, Col. Klink walks out and falls when the stairs collapse. The guard is missing without making any motion to move before. When everybody rushes to Col.Klink, the guard runs in from the left also.
Continuity mistake: The emblem on the left side of Schultz's helmet is mostly gone. Later when apprehending Stoffel, the emblem is complete.
Continuity mistake: Major Bonacelli goes to put his hand in his coat for money, he pauses with it in for the next few lines. When Newkirk asks about Germans eating a lot of pizza, Bonacelli's hand is suddenly out and gesturing.
Continuity mistake: When Klink does a walk through in the barracks, he turns to face Hogan in front of Schultz. As he does, the end of his riding crop pushes against Schultz's lower chest and sticks. When the camera cuts the crop is free and well clear of Schultz.
Continuity mistake: Newkirk holds takes Schultz's rifle so Schultz can play in the game. On Schultz's second hit, you see Newkirk clapping. In the close up, you see Newkirk's hands firmly on the butt of the rifle. Also, Newkirk is holding the rifle with the muzzle in the dirt. This would put a plug of dirt into it, but when Klink takes it away, you can see that the muzzle is clean and clear.

Continuity mistake: As Tillman starts to talk to Hogan, he places his hand on, then removes, it from, Hogan's arm. A second later, he repeats removing his hand.
Continuity mistake: When Hogan and the crew first see the silent airplane overhead, it has a twin tail. When shown up close in later scenes it has a single tail.

Continuity mistake: While Klink is talking to Hogan and the Major, the chair next to the door is almost centered under a picture frame. When the Major is arrested the chair is moved to the left. When Klink sits down, the chair is centered again. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: As Günther leaves the room, Klink touches his forehead and begins to sit down (or his knees are buckling, not relevant). After the next cut, he sinks down into a chair in a closeup. That same chair was behind Hogan before the cut.

Continuity mistake: At the end, as Schultz and Hogan come out of the office, there is a blank wall, like a kind of foyer. Any shots of the front door from the inside show the door opens directly into the outer office of the secretary.

Continuity mistake: While Carter and Klink's secretary are conversing, the waste basket Carter holds switches positions from up to down and back again.
