Continuity mistake: When Carter gets a puncture while driving the red van, as he gets out of the van there is a house on the opposite side of the road, but when the angle changes as Carter looks at the punctured wheel, the house is not there.

Continuity mistake: In the final scene when Regan and Carter are being chased by the police car they take a left hand corner past a building with two red doors. There are no cars parked outside, but when the police car passes there is a blue Datsun parked there.

Visible crew/equipment: At the airport when Regan drives off to chase after Deller you can see the camera crew and lights reflected in the side of the car.

Continuity mistake: When Carter is running after Deller and Fuller the weather suddenly changes from dry to raining.
Continuity mistake: When Regan and Carter are waiting for Cooney to pick them up in the car, look at the row of parked cars behind them when a truck passes between them and the camera. A Ford Capri suddenly appears parked behind the white Ford Anglia.
Other mistake: Early on in this episode Regan is moaning about lawyers earning £30,000 a year and that he himself can just about afford a secondhand car, but later on in this episode he is driving a M registration ford Capri, which would have been brand new when this episode was made.
Suggested correction: He is being metaphorical. Reagan is known for his florid turn of phrase.
Continuity mistake: At the retirement party when the carriage clock is first seen on the table it is showing the time as 10.10 but when it is being presented to the officer the time on the clock is now 10.05.
Continuity mistake: In the final car chase when Cooney jumps out of the car and it crashes into the barrels and explodes there is no-one on the back seat when the Princes should be there. (00:48:00)
Continuity mistake: During the first car chase it's obvious two different cars are used as the squad car reg no NHK295M. On one car the front right hand wing has a broken indicator and damage around it and a radio aerial, the other one has none of this.

Continuity mistake: At the end Regan is driving the green ford escort at speed causing a police car to chase him, Carter is a passenger the two stunt doubles in the green escort do not look like Regan and Carter.
