Continuity mistake: When Sandy puts the cigar into Fred's mouth, he lights the cigar and it explodes, leaving Fred's face covered in black marks. In the next shot, the marks have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: During Fred's dream sequence, Fred tells Barney that he missed watching Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm grow up and behind Barney there is a table and a painting on the wall. In a close-up of Barney in the next shot, both the table and painting have disappeared.
Other mistake: When the shopkeeper takes the magazine away from Fred in the supermarket, Fred says he was just looking at the pictures. But when the shopkeeper takes the magazine, you can see that the page Fred was reading is completely blank.
Continuity mistake: When the man playing pool says "Try the old folks' home, pops!" and Fred leaves the pool hall, Fred's walking stick changes from his right hand to left hand between shots.
Continuity mistake: Before Mr. Slate takes a picture of his employees, Sandy (the one that Fred gives a hot foot to) is standing by two other men. When Fred gives Sandy a hot foot, the men have disappeared, and when we see the photo that Mr. Slate has taken, they are back again.
Continuity mistake: When the hunter hits Fred on the head with a small rock, Fred falls down on the ground and there are some plants and rocks next to him, but when the hunter goes to see Fred, the plants and rocks are no longer in sight.
Continuity mistake: When Wilma is speaking to Fred outside her house during the dream sequence, you can see she is holding an ear trumpet in her right hand, but later on in the scene it disappears.
Continuity mistake: The "Sandy" who Fred challenges at the pie-eating contest is a completely different man to the one who sprayed Fred with water earlier in the episode.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mr. Slate asks his employees to gather round for a group photo, Fred decides to liven up the situation by giving Sandy a 'hot foot'. When Mr. Slate takes the photo, Fred is lighting the match on Sandy's foot, but the picture that comes out of the camera shows him not lighting the match at all.
Audio problem: When the man living in Barney's house says, "Yeah, struck it rich in oil years ago!" to Fred, his voice is completely different to the one heard when he opens the door.
Continuity mistake: When Barney puts down the telephone and says "Could it be Fred Flintstone after all these years?", the receiver vanishes shortly before the scene changes.
Answer: The name of the pet is "Baby Puss." He has appeared in episodes, but only a very few. The first episode was probably "The X-Ray Story" from season 2.
