Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Show generally

Revealing mistake: When Connor and Cameron are trying to save Derek Reese from the police truck, Cameron walks on the Jeep's hood to jump onto the police truck. During her walk, we can see that it isn't Cameron but a stunt double. She doesn't look like Cameron and is a bit taller. (00:33:05)

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - When the Jeep Cherokee flips, it lands on the driver-side/rear corner of its roof, completely collapsing that corner of the roof. The camera angle changes and instantly the Jeep is landing on both of its driver-side tires, roof intact, and rolls onto its left side. The angle changes again, and the collapsed roof is back as the Jeep slides a bit more before the shot changes again, and the undamaged roof is shown as the Jeep rolls onto its roof and comes to a stop. The camera pans around the rear of the wreck, and there is no roof collapse at either rear corner.

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - As Derek sits at the table, Sarah is digging jelly from a jar with a knife, moving it onto toast that sits on a plate on the table. The shot instantly reverses and the jar is on the table and she's spreading the jelly with the knife on the toast she now holds in her hand.

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - Sarah carries a plate with a sandwich and a tall glass of milk for John. After talking with Cameron for a few moments, she heads to John's room, arriving with the plate and sandwich, but no glass of milk, and with some of his clean clothing.

Deliberate mistake: On several occasions throughout both series/seasons, whenever a Terminator fires a weapon, they blink. This should not happen because that would be a human reaction - Terminators aren't human. They're made to look and act human, but SkyNet don't focus on the little things; such as emotions, breathing and reflexes. The three most notable instances of this are in Season 1, Episode 5: "Queen's Gambit", Season 2, Episode 21: "Adam Raised a Cain" and Season 2, Episode 22: "Born to Run". In "Queen's Gambit", Cameron blinks as she fires a machine gun at the T-888 in the back of the black van as he runs towards her, in "Adam Raised a Cain" the water delivery Terminator blinks as he shoots Savannah Weaver's nanny Debbie and as he shoots the security guard and Catherine Weaver in "Born to Run".

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - When Elison is sitting at the rear doorway of the ambulance, in close-up his hands are away from his face, out of shot. But the instant the shot changes to show him from further away, his right hand is covering his mouth.

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As the FBI agent shows his ID to Dixon, it is in his right hand, the badge end up. He holds a folder in his left hand. The camera cuts away for just a moment, then returns to show the ID in his left hand, badge to the right, and the folder is in his right hand, all without enough time to make the switches. Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the detective is updating Sarah Connor's wanted page, it shows her height as 5' 4". In the next scene, when the Terminator finds a match in the FBI database, her height shows up as 5' 5". (00:11:40)

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As Cromartie is approaching the Dyson home, he carries an automatic rifle with his right arm. As he makes a turn toward the left, he lowers the rifle down to his side, pointing it at the ground. He hears a car start and an instant camera angle change shows the rifle is still pointed forward and upward, not down, with no time for the change. (00:32:55)

Gnothi Seauton - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: When Sarah throws Cameron out of the window after the rigged safe deactivates her, she lands on the roof of a car at the bottom with her legs straight, arms straight at a diagonal angle and her head looking straight up. But four shots later, she is lying on the car with her legs bent over the roof, her arms at a horizontal angle and her head looking to the left.

Gnothi Seauton - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: After Sarah lies to get Cameron away from the cop, the collar on Cameron's jacket is folded forwards over her neck as she walks down the alley with Sarah. She then tells Sarah that it's 13 miles to walk home and that they need another car. In the following shot, her collar is folded back towards her shoulders.

Gnothi Seauton - S1-E2

Other mistake: When the guy that has the Terminator's head confronts the Terminator who's wearing a helmet and Chet's jacket, there's a close up of the jacket, and we see the shirt buttoned up and you see the bottom part of the helmet. When he flips up the visor and the camera pans down, the shirt is now opened up to reveal the metal body with Chet's head just stuck on top of it. But we should have already seen the metal body in the first close up shot.

Queen's Gambit - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: As Cameron is questioned about the girl that commited suicide, the interviewer holds a photo of one of the mostly-black posters. When we see his view of the photo, the white letters spell 'DAN', but before and after that shot, when we see his face, we can see through the photo, and it only reads 'A', which is a different poster seen earlier in the same episode. Queen's Gambit - S1-E5

Character mistake: When Dixon arrives to find Derek lying on the table with a serious gunshot wound to the chest, he immediately begins giving Derek chest compressions - without doing even the most basic assessment of Deker's condition, verifying whether he is breathing or even has a pulse. Dixon is a trained Emergency Medical Technician, not a passing samaritan. His error is against the most basic rules of his profession. (00:40:10)

Vick's Chip (1) - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: When Sarah, John, Cameron and Derek go looking for Barbara Chamberlain's body, they stumble upon Jessica Peck's body instead. Derek reads her ID and says, "Who the hell's Jessica Peck?" Cameron then says, "A threat to Skynet." As she says this, her hair is partially covering her right eye. But in the next shot it's tucked back behind her ear.
