Emergency!

Promotion - S3-E7

Other mistake: When John and Roy get back to the station, they head to the kitchen and John takes the hot pot of stew out of the oven with potholders, and when he quickly tries to lift the lid without the potholder, his pain makes it clear that it's burning hot, so he uses the mitt to lift the lid. There's a long metal serving spoon that was left in the stew, and John just lifts it up and starts serving the stew with no problem, even though that spoon should have been too hot to even touch.

Zero - S3-E10

Other mistake: When Tommy's on the ledge, and Roy and John are on the aerial ladder, just as Tommy jumps off the ledge and Roy catches him, we can see the young actor happy and grinning as he's being caught by Kevin Tighe, but within the very serious storyline of a 7 year old boy jumping from a ledge, looking "empty, tired and giving up", this doesn't fit. Obviously the young actor thought it was great fun to do a stunt like that.

Computer Error - S3-E14

Other mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the woman who fell through the ground into the abandoned well in her backyard, en route there's a moving bird's-eye view as the filming chopper follows 51's vehicles making a right turn. On the ground below, there are two people standing beside a blue station wagon, and one points up to the filming chopper flying overhead.

An English Visitor - S3-E4

Other mistake: After Battalion Chief tells Squad 51 to go to the elevator shaft, when Roy, Johnny and Jason enter the building, the DVD subtitles read that Captain Stanley says "Here, the elevator, it's jammed," when in fact it's the Battalion Chief who says that - Captain Stanley is not even with them. Additionally, Johnny asks, "Is somebody in here, Cap?" even though he's addressing the Battalion Chief, not Captain Stanley. Then it's Roy who asks for the oxygen, but subtitles read that Johnny asks for it.

Floor Brigade - S3-E19

Other mistake: After getting the hermit out of the cave, Roy asks Marco to take the EKG leads "over there", but then hands them to Chet (played by Tim Donnelly) saying "here Tim", and the subtitles read that Roy says "Chet."

Snakebite - S3-E6

Other mistake: After Hector agrees to use Tractor 2 to cut a trail down to teenagers in the crashed car, Captain Stanley tells Roy and John to get their gear, then says, "Marco, Chet, give them a hand," but DVD subtitles read, "Mark it off, Chet..." Later when they're carrying the teens up, we hear the dispatcher say, "Squad 36, 10-7 to Rampart," but subtitles read "Squad 36, transport to Rampart," and when the dispatcher says, "Repair 2, Engine 163 is requesting tow truck," but subtitles read "Return 2..."

Inheritance Tax - S3-E9

Other mistake: During the paint factory fire incident, when the Battalion Chief (Battalion 14) contacts LA dispatch over the HT he says, "LA, Battalion 14, this fire is contained," but the bizarre subtitles read "Calling Battalion 14..." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Zero - S3-E10

Other mistake: At the fire, while they're searching for the missing boy, Marco feels the partition for heat and shouts to Captain Stanley, "Hey, Cap! Cap!" but the subtitles read, "Hey, Chet! Chet!" Then after the boy's rescue, we hear the Battalion Chief say, "LA, this fire's contained. All copy. Out 1 hour," but subtitles read "Talk 1 hour." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Zero - S3-E10

Other mistake: At the start of this episode Squad 51 heads out to the construction site with the screaming woman, and Roy and John are in their full turnout gear, which means they've just spent the night at the station and it's early morning at the end of their 24-hr shift, yet back at the station Roy and John are getting into their uniform at the start of their shift, which is 8:00AM. Joanne Worley's screaming segment was filmed for an earlier episode, but was inserted into this episode.

Inferno - S3-E21

Other mistake: When Roy and Johnny are at base camp during the fire, they're dispatched to the incident at Jawbone Canyon. While en route, Battalion 5 orders Engine 51 to approach from the north, and we hear Captain Stanley respond, "Engine 51, 10-4," but it's odd that the subtitles read that Johnny is the one who responds. Later, after Tanker 44 tanks 51, Chet says, "Cap, we've got a charged line," but the weird subtitles read, "Captain's going to throw us a line." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

An English Visitor - S3-E4

Other mistake: When Squad 51 and the engine company arrive at the rock quarry, in the shot after John tells Jason to get the HT, just as Roy, Captain Stanley and Mike walk towards the right side of the screen, something drops down from the top of the screen, enough to cover the top left corner of the screen area, then gets pulled back up.

Inferno - S3-E21

Other mistake: At the start, when Roy is reviewing the list making sure he got everything, there are two containers of milk on the counter which have their brand names covered. As an aside, watch Chet as he empties the grocery bag and puts the aluminum can in the freezer.

How Green Was My Thumb? - S3-E17

Other mistake: When Johnny and Roy take the elevator with the nurse, they take the elevator near the nurses' station, at the south end of the ER wing, and Johnny follows the nurse onto the 4th floor to try and get her name. This is completely impossible considering the actual floor plan of the hospital, since in all of the exterior shots of the ER it's only 2 storeys.

Super Grover

The Promise - S3-E11

Other mistake: Richard is in room 603 and jumps out of the 6th floor hallway window. In the long shot of the exterior of the building, we see that he's lying on the ledge of the row of windows that are second from the top. The elevator shows 8 floors, which means that he's actually lying on the 7th floor's window ledge.

The Old Engine - S3-E2

Other mistake: When the dispatcher sends Squad 51 on the probable overdose run, the address given is 2267 West Hill, apt 6, but when Roy and Johnny are at the door, both entering and exiting, the house number above the stairs is 11044.

Super Grover

Computer Error - S3-E14

Other mistake: At the end of the episode, when Roy, Johnny, and Chet are at their lockers, Roy comments that Gloria won't make the same mistake twice about the $8.42, and Chet laughs, but the subtitles read, "Marco laughing", even though Marco is not in the scene. Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Super Grover

Computer Error - S3-E14

Other mistake: While John is searching through the papers for the receipt, when Roy takes the milk carton out of the fridge he pours some into a glass and some ends up spilling onto the floor, we can see there's black tape on the milk carton covering the brand name.

Super Grover

Zero - S3-E10

Other mistake: On site with the boy on the ledge, when Truck 85 raises the aerial ladder Roy stands by and waits to go up with Johnny behind him. Both Roy and Johnny are the only ones not wearing their turnouts, and both of their watches are on their left wrists, but when 85's aerial apparatus operator says "Desoto, up the aerial," the bare arm we see beside him is wearing the watch on his right wrist. This is not a flipped shot.

Fools - S3-E16

Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to "possible heart attack" the address is "91st and Formosa" (the 'Black Tower' can be see behind the Chevron sign when the squad rolls up), and later when they're dispatched to "person caught in mailbox" the address is "Beverly Blvd and Main." What's funny is that the two incident scenes are filmed at the same corner of the intersection, with Universal's 'Black Tower' nearby. Have a look.

The Mouse - S4-E20

Revealing mistake: At the apartment complex fire, after Johnny is knocked unconscious by the explosion, when the Pasadena fireman finds him and has to lift him up, it's funny how even though Johnny's unconscious we can see that he actually helps to stand himself up, so the fireman can lift him up and carry him out.

Trainee - S2-E8

Roy: I think you're on some sort of an ego trip, Ed. And in my book that makes you a very dangerous character.
Ed: [Laughs.] Ego trip, huh? Well, I didn't realize that psychiatry was part of the paramedic's training.
Roy: Oh that's good, Ed, you be funny. But that isn't gonna change anything. You wanna know what I figure? Well, I figure when you were working in Vietnam, it was rough. So rough you started playing over your head. And you were making it, you were doing real good. Considering it was a combat situation. And pretty soon you started getting all blown up about how Ed Marlowe is just as good as the real doctors. And you've been living on that ever since. And the trouble is, Ed, you are good. Except for two little problems. You can't quit competing with real doctors. And you can't face being wrong. You see, those people we treat out there, I mean the people we work for, the people who pay for this whole operation, they're real people, Ed, with real problems. And they have a right to expect more than just being used by you for some sort of trip. [Completely exasperated.] I guess what I'm trying to say to you, Ed, is that in my book you're just plain unprofessional.
[Ed walks out.]
John: Do you think it did any good?
Roy: Do you?
