The Secret of Gilligan's Island - S3-E25

Trivia: This episode was the only episode to feature a single regular castaway from the show (other than Gilligan) to ruin a rescue attempt at the end. The professor was to blame in this one by making a mistake.

Suggested correction: In the episode "The Big Gold Strike", it's realised that the gold can't be taken with them as it would cause the raft to sink. The end of the episode has the raft sinking and everyone, excluding Gilligan, admitting that they took some gold with them so it was everybody's fault with the exception of Gilligan as he actually didn't have any gold on him.

This should be considered another trivia entry, not a correction. The trivia entry says "single" regular castaway, so it's excluding the group causing the failure.

Correct. I knew about the "gold" episode which is why I wrote "single" castaway (to indicate just one regular and eliminate episodes involving guests that ruined rescue attempts). Thank you for that.

Two on a Raft - S1-E2

Other mistake: At the beginning of the episode when the Skipper wakes up on the boat this scene is actually from the original pilot, as you can see the 3 different actors that played the part of the professor, Ginger, and Mary Ann. (00:01:20)

Suggested correction: The original actors ARE shown, true. However their characters slightly differred in the original pilot. They were known as a high school teacher, Ginger, and Bunny.

All About Eva - S3-E14

Stupidity: After Eva Grubb first arrives on the island and states her frustrations to the castaways, she walks away and the Professor reveals a plan to not leave her in her current condition and have a boat sent back for her to get her some help. How is he going to do this? If he could contact civilization to get Eva a boat, then how come he could never do the same to get themselves rescued? Furthermore, how would he be able to contact anyone to help Eva anyway?

Suggested correction: You completely misunderstood his plan and the episode up to that point. Eva arrived by boat and ended up giving the boat key to the group. The group was going to leave the island on Eva's boat, but she wanted to stay and wouldn't go with them. But in his opinion, she was too emotional to stay on the island alone, so after they got back home, using Eva's boat, the group would find help and that help would go back to the island to bring Eva home.

The Sound of Quacking - S1-E8

Visible crew/equipment: During the dream sequence, when Gilligan starts a showdown with Mr. Howell and the Professor, someone's face appears in the window in the background for a second, and it's none of the castaways - someone in the filming crew most likely.

Professor Roy Hinkley: Listen, Gilligan, how far down was she? How many feet?
Gilligan: Professor, in navy circles, we don't say "feet." We say "fathoms."
Professor Roy Hinkley: All right, how many fathoms?
Gilligan: Oh I don't know, about 15 feet.

Show generally

Question: Why did the Howells, Ginger and Mary Ann have so many changes of clothes with them? It was only a three hour tour.

Answer: Bob Denver answered this when he was on a talk show hosted by Pat Sajak. He said they were going to write into an episode where the castaways found all these clothes, but it got too complicated, so he said, they decided, "who cares, it's only a TV show," and forgot about it. So the writers and actors even asked this, they just never bothered to address it.

Answer: I've been binge watching it, and a couple of times trunks with costumes have washed ashore, and in one episode the professor figured out how to make thread for weaving cloth.

Answer: It was a running gag about how out of touch with reality they are, because they are so rich, that they think they need to bring an extensive wardrobe with them everywhere they go.
