Continuity mistake: When Wolverine is being surrounded by the aliens, he is standing by a cactus plant. When the shot changes the cactus has disappeared. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: Rogue's vanity has a teddy bear and a telephone on it. When Gambit comes into her room, the phone has disappeared. (00:03:55)
Revealing mistake: When Rogue's phone is ringing you can see that the phone is halfway absorbed into her mirror. (00:04:15)
Continuity mistake: The Colony's Acanti ship goes from having its face buried into the walls of the chasm and its body above ground to having its body partially buried in the valley floor and its face free from the wall. (00:06:50 - 00:08:10)
Revealing mistake: Wolverine's nipples literally disappear from his chest when he says "Do I feel lousy." (00:07:15)
Factual error: Wolverine is able to call the mansion from a payphone without depositing any money, nor is he shown to be using a prepaid phone card or making a collect call. (00:09:40)
Continuity mistake: When Gambit notices Cody on the monitor, the pink rectangular patches on his pants that are normally horizontal are now vertical. (00:10:30)
Audio problem: With the exception of the last word in the sentence, Cody's mouth is completely closed when he says "They need us Rogue, just like I need you." (00:13:40)
Audio problem: When Wolverine says "I'm going to get this outta me!" his mouth is wide open for most of the line. (00:14:05)
Other mistake: The tail that Rogue grows appears out of thin air as if it were magic. Given that she's going through an organic transformation, the tail should have formed gradually out of her coccyx. (00:15:55)
Other mistake: After Rogue absorbs Wolverine's healing powers and purges the transformation spores from her system, she reverts back into human form including losing the tail that she grew. Given that the tail protruded from her backside, there should have been a hole in the back of her pants afterwards, yet there is none. (00:16:40)
Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
