Other mistake: At the beginning of the series, Ted starts telling the story of how he met the mother of their children. When he starts describing how he met Robin, he doesn't reveal that it was not their mother until the end of the pilot. But children should have realised it wasn't their mother when Robin said she was a journalist and worked as a TV presenter. The kids knew their mom wasn't a journalist, so they shouldn't have been surprised at the end of the episode when Ted said "this is how I met your aunt Robin".
Other mistake: In the credits, Jeremy Gabriel (Robin's new 'boyfriend') is shown as "Mark" but it is "Mike" throughout the episode.
The Wedding - S1-E12
Other mistake: On The Wedding invitation it says the year is 2005, when it should be 2006 since the last episode was New Years.
Other mistake: When Ted and Robin borrow Marshall's Fiero and are sitting in the car talking as Ted drives, you can hear the beat of a song playing in the car that is not the Proclaimers' I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), which in many future episodes is referenced as the only song that can be played in that car due to the tape being stuck in the tape player. (00:15:30 - 00:16:10)
Suggested correction: Maybe it's on the radio.
Other mistake: In the flashback where Gael is playing a guitar and singing a song, the chords on the guitar change, but his fingers do not move at all. He is playing the same chord the whole time.
How I Met Everyone Else - S3-E5
Other mistake: In the scene where Barney is describing The Vicky Mendoza Diagonal of The Hot-Crazy Scale, his words describe her getting hotter, (i.e. lost ten pounds) not less crazy. On the diagram shown, she goes down in craziness, not up in hotness.
Other mistake: When Barney shows Marshall the video of a dog pooping on a baby, he puts in the CD upside down.
Suggested correction: Lots of blank CDs that you can buy do not have labels on the top and therefore are just shiny on top (like they are on the bottom).
Not true. He points the writing at the camera and puts it writing side down.
Other mistake: Right before Barney gets hit by the bus, he's on the sidewalk. To the right there is a One Way sign pointing right, but the bus hits him driving left. The bus would have been driving the wrong way on a one way street.
Suggested correction: Not only is this not a mistake (it wouldn't be the first vehicle going the wrong way down a one way street), but we even see Barney looking in the direction of where the vehicles should be coming from and assume himself to be safe. Had the bus not been going the wrong way, Barney would have seen it coming and not been hit.
This is irrelevant. The mistake is that the bus is going the wrong way on a one - way street. While people do break the law like this, a bus driver certainly wouldn't.
Other mistake: At the end, on the steps in front of Stella's apartment, Stella's daughter stares at the camera for half the shot.
Other mistake: At the start of the episode it can be seen that the DVD player only has a power cord connected. Shortly afterwards only one cable (power) is seen connected to the TV set, then a few seconds later Ted plays a DVD.
Other mistake: When Marshall brings the large photo of The Captain into the apartment, he claims he took the photo the last time that The Captain picked up Zoey, but the background of the photo is not the inside of a vehicle.
Other mistake: Robin says she burned the dinner because she mistook the temperature scale on the oven for Celsius. However a given temperature above -40 is always higher in Fahrenheit, so by assuming the oven to be labeled in Celsius she would have undercooked the food. For example: If the directions were to cook at 400°F, she would set it around 200°F (thinking the oven was Celsius.) If the instructions were to cook at 200°C, she would still set the oven to 200°F, undercooking the food in both cases.
Other mistake: When Marshall returns from Minnesota, he approaches Lily lying on the couch from the kitchen area rather than from the door, and Lily still acts surprised to see him, even when he was obviously already in the apartment with her.
Legendaddy - S6-E19
Other mistake: When Barney is trying to take down the basketball hoop, using the screwdriver, he never actually removes any of the screws.
Other mistake: There is absolutely no reason for Ted to hang around underneath his apartment window while Jeanette is throwing stuff out of it. Any sane person would know that there is a very high chance of getting struck by the myriad of Ted's belongings that are wantonly chucked out onto the street. He's not trying to collect/catch anything because he is turned away from the building, and is not paying attention to the items that are being thrown out.
Other mistake: When Ralph Macchio mocks Barney for not gambling in AC, Barney makes a U-turn to head back, but turns the wheel to the right instead of the left. (00:12:00)
