Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death - S1-E15
Continuity mistake: The General Lee explodes in flames, but in the next shot of the car, you can see that the car on fire is a completely different car. (00:28:50)
Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death - S1-E15
Revealing mistake: When the van overturns at the end of the episode, you can easily see the padded roll bars used to protect the actors inside. These bars don't appear anywhere else in the episode.
Continuity mistake: When the guy in the phone box is shot, and Michael yells for K.I.T.T, once K.I.T.T stops the front wheels are facing to the left. But when Michael drives off they are facing right. (00:13:15)
Revealing mistake: When K.I.T.T turbo boosts near the end when chasing the 4x4 you can see the camera strapped to the side of the car. (00:42:35)
Continuity mistake: When the bad guy hits K.I.T.T with a log and he says "I beg your pardon", you can see a normal steering wheel inside K.I.T.T. (00:43:35)
Factual error: A secret file is password-protected on a computer, requiring a six-digit numerical access code. KITT states that the possibilities "are virtually unlimited." In truth, if each digit can be 0 through 9 (numerical meaning no letters or symbols), the possibility is 1 in 10^6, or 1 in a million. A supercomputer like KITT should have no problem running each number systematically until a correct code is found.
Other mistake: In an overhead shot of KITT speeding through the desert after Lauren's plane, you can see parts of KITT's hood wobbling against the wind. I seriously doubt a car made to be indestructible would have that happen.
Continuity mistake: Just after Michael wakes up from being knocked out trying to stop the plane, he goes from the front of the Knight semi trailer (where all the computer equipment/office is) they are travelling in to get into KITT. He gets into the driver's side of the car (far side from the camera, indicating that KITT is facing towards the rear door of the trailer. However, in the exterior shot of KITT leaving the trailer, he emerges backwards down the ramp then does a 180 spin to go back the way he was facing when inside.
Continuity mistake: When Michael falls off the plane and onto KITT's hood, he is not wearing his leather jacket as he tries to stuff it in the rudder to stop the plane from taking off. Very next scene, he awakens in the FLAG Semi, wearing the jacket that fell into the driver's seat as he fell off the plane. I doubt the doctor would take the time to put Michael's jacket back on.
A Nice, Indecent Little Town - S1-E17
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Michael chases the counter fitter and KITT supposedly jumps over some cars with his turbo boost, you can see a jumping ramp which wasn't there before, painted in the colour of the street behind it. (00:25:25)
Continuity mistake: When Michael is in K.I.T.T and he is taking the professor's blood pressure, the boot is open. When it goes to an outside shot of K.I.T.T driving away it is closed. (00:03:50)
Other mistake: When the woman plays the video to show the people K.I.T.T, most of the footage you see cannot exist, especially seeing Michael driving inside K.I.T.T on K.I.T.T's monitor. Also when K.I.T.T crashed through the Comtron door from the pilot later on - when Michael sees the footage, this is just footage from other episodes rather than surveillance footage. (00:13:25)
Continuity mistake: When Michael rescues Bonnie and asks K.I.T.T to meet him, one minute it is night time, next scene bright daylight. If it was morning it wouldn't be that bright. This is where they have possibly used footage from a previous episode. (00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: When they arrive at the museum and start to unload K.I.T.T it is raining fairly hard. When it cuts to Bonnie and the Professor and the woman it isn't raining. This keeps happening throughout the scene. (00:38:15)
White Bird - S1-E19
Continuity mistake: When Michael and Stevie are in the car and it jumps through the panel on the trailer, when the car lands and it cuts back to Michael there is no trailer in the background. (00:17:05)
White Bird - S1-E19
Continuity mistake: When Michael is racing to the airfield to stop the bad guys, when you see inside the car it is clear and sunny outside. Next shot of outside with the car skidding the driver is wearing a different costume, possibly taken from another episode. Then the outside is foggy, back to clear, then foggy as he approaches the jump. (00:39:15)
White Bird - S1-E19
Revealing mistake: When Michael crashes through the side of the plane, you can see a pulley attached to the front wheel of the plane, which then is released. (00:40:15 - 00:40:50)
White Bird - S1-E19
Visible crew/equipment: After KITT cuts the plane in half, the camera looking on the left side of the plane is mounted to the wing's underside. A moment later, when KITT nears it, the camera is gone.
White Bird - S1-E19
Visible crew/equipment: As KITT goes to jump over the fence of the airport, the helmeted stunt driver is seen, as well as part of the ramp pops up into view. Also, you can plainly see that it's the lightweight stunt car, as you can see though it from the bottom.
White Bird - S1-E19
Other mistake: As the guy is shooting at KITT at the retreat, the sparks of the bullets run down the passenger side toward the oak tree with the blue and white umbrella on the patio. Even though Stevie is a blond wearing a blue sweater, the profile and arm appears to be Michael. A moment later, same thing down the driver side, with Michael's arm and profile.
Answer: I would say that unless there's visual evidence it was another K.I.T.T. car, as in you could see the bar scanner or cut steering wheel, people on here would correct the mistake by saying more than one 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am was sold and there's no reason it's meant to be a random car.
