Season 5 generally

Factual error: Throughout this entire season, Bo and Luke left Hazzard to become Nascar drivers. This wouldn't be allowed as part of their probation legally prevents them from leaving Hazzard County.

Suggested correction: First off, in s01e01, the show starts where it had already been a year since Bo and Luke were put on probation. However, they were only given 5 years probation and this takes place in season 5. However, in the show they were allowed to leave Hazzard County with permission from a parole officer, so even assuming they're still on probation, they could have had permission without showing it on screen.

Except that Boss Hogg was their parole officer and considering how corrupt he is, he could have chosen to extend their parole.

It would be possible that the Duke boys got the probation lifted by a higher authority (e.g. the State governor), or just ignored Boss Hogg altogether.
