Continuity mistake: Stan Shaw picks up a park bench to throw at the van windshield. The scene is done in 3 takes. When he first grabs the bench and turns to hurl it the van passes him. In the second take he hurls the bench which hits the windshield horizontally and falls towards the street. In the third take the bench is embedded in the windshield vertically. (00:25:35)

Visible crew/equipment: When Starsky and Hutch catch Jerry and cuff him, he goes on about how they all share responsibility for the two murders, and in following shots the moving shadow of the boom mic can be seen on the box, near the top right side of the screen. (00:41:50)

Continuity mistake: At the warehouse, when Starsky jumps down onto Prudholm he grabs the guy's gun and holds it up in his left hand, but when Prudholm declares that he's a crazy sick man we see both of Starsky's hands gripping Prudholm's jacket, but in the next shot Starsky is still holding the gun up in his left hand before he tosses it. Visible crew/equipment: During The Game, when Sally asks Terry for water, just as Terry walks toward the table the bulging outline of the mic's hidden bodypack transmitter can be seen at Terry's lower back. (00:30:50)
Continuity mistake: When Starsky and Hutch are driving up to Dobey's cabin, park near the lake, and then drive into town for supplies, the car's license plate is attached to the driver's side of the front bumper as it should be, but when they're in town the plate is now attached to the passenger side of the bumper, and it's not a flipped shot. At the end, when Hutch tells Starsky he wants to leave, the license plate is back where it should be.
