Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode Peggy gives Bobby his birthday cake without any pieces missing from it or marks in the cake. However earlier in the episode, Bobby brings cake for Connie. It's doubtful that there were two identical cakes. You can tell this is the same type of cake because the cream on the top is the same shape and color Bobby brought to Connie.
Continuity mistake: Whilst Joseph is fixing his bike, there is a green mat next to it. As he starts to ride the bike the mat has now disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Peggy, Hank, and Tammy are in the car and Peggy says "We all make mistakes", her lipstick is a duller, orange shade, then it goes back to being red.
Continuity mistake: When Bobby is trying to convince Hank's friends to join the abstinence club, and when he asks Boomhauer he just stays silent. Bill then signs up and gets one of the cards Bobby has. As Hank starts to talk it goes to a close up of him but in the next shot Boomhauer is looking at one of the cards. Bill still had his card so where did Boomhauer get one of those cards?
Hank and the Great Glass Elevator - S5-E11
Continuity mistake: As Peggy is testing the burgers at the end to see the difference she moves to the charcoal grill and puts three patties between 2 buns. In the next shot when she is throwing them out there are two extra buns in amongst the middle patties.
Peggy Makes the Big Leagues - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: During the booster club meeting at the beginning of the episode, there is some guy with a moustache sitting at the end of the table. After they finish the video of the football, there is a different looking guy sitting there.
When Cotton Comes Marching Home - S5-E5
Continuity mistake: As we see the float for the time in the driveway when Cotton arrives home, the float is vertical to the driveway. In the following shot Peggy starts asking Cotton for his war medals, the float is now turned around horizontally to the driveway.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bobby is refusing to partake in thanksgiving celebrations and Hank starts asking him whether he's nervous about the turkey carving. You can see Bobby's carving knife is pointed toward the wall with the blade (curved edge) pointed towards Bobby. Before Bobby picks it up to give back to Hank its facing the other way.
Continuity mistake: In past seasons, Hank's truck has obviously been shown as a 1992-era Ford Ranger,however in this episode it is shown as a 1980's-era Ranger.
It's Not Easy Being Green - S5-E16
Continuity mistake: As Hank tells Bill & Dale that they are going to drain the quarry (whilst in Dale's basement) and Dale lets his burning cigarette drop. Dale & Bill start to freak out and it goes to a wide shot of the three of them & the cigarette Dale dropped is not on the ground anymore.
Continuity mistake: As Luanne is becoming a "Born again" virgin, she yells after being dunked in the water. She yells "I'm a Virgin." and there is a shot to the left of two guys in the distance playing Frisbee look behind to their left. The shot sees them from the left meaning they were to Luanne's left. A few shots later Luanne is getting out of the lake and one of the guys who was playing Frisbee comes up to her from her right side and the other guy follows him. There wouldn't have been enough time in the scene for them to get all the way over to the right side of the field and not much reason to either.
Continuity mistake: After the frantic phone call from the hospital, Hank rushes to the emergency room. In the hallway there are two doors, the one to his left says "Consultation" whilst the one to his right says "Examination". He uses his left hand to open the door and in the next shot you can see the door now says "Examination" and "Consultation" on the opposite door.
When Cotton Comes Marching Home - S5-E5
Continuity mistake: As Hank visits Cotton to give his uniform, Cotton goes into the middle stall of the bathroom. If you look at the stall to the right it has its door open and no one is in there. As they are speaking you can see the door has closed in the reflection of the mirror. You can see even see it's closed without using the mirror when Hank puts the uniform down on the chair.
It's Not Easy Being Green - S5-E16
Continuity mistake: When Hank, Dale & Bill go to the quarry to get the car, they use a tow truck to try and pull it up. If you look at the tow truck you can see it is a red color. Later on when the protesters come and are sitting in a circle and singing the tow truck is now orange. It stays orange for the rest of the scene.
When Cotton Comes Marching Home - S5-E5
Continuity mistake: Before Topsy (Cotton's friend) & Cotton tie up the restaurant manager there is a quick shot that shows the sign on the door for the men's room. It has the symbol on it for disability access. However in one of the previous shots when Cotton tries to leave the restaurant the sign is the same but there was no wheelchair accessible symbol.
Continuity mistake: The entire episode is about Hank being very attached to his current truck, and refusing to purchase a new one (until he has no choice). But in S4 E23 Hank tells Peggy "You know how much I want a new truck."
Continuity mistake: When we see Bobby talking to Hank about the allergy test there are lots of black marks (dots for the allergy test) on Bobby's back and one red circle around one of them. As Hank is looking at them there is a shot from behind Bobby and the red circle has gone.
Continuity mistake: When Bobby runs after Connie, (just before she gets in the truck with Joseph) you can see the front door of the Hill's house is open to the left. Even though in the shot before Connie runs out (and every other episode) the door opens to the right.
Continuity mistake: When Peggy and Hank are looking the mirror, as Peggy says "We look like a couple of movie stars", her hair is its normal reddish-brown color, but her reflection in the mirror has lighter, more dull brown hair.
