Question: There was supposedly one episode that ended with SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs all laughing in a boat. The laughing then silences, eventually to a stop. Then SpongeBob, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs walk out of the boat, and Squidward eventually walks out too. Which episode is this?
Question: What is the episode when Spongebob is stepping on toy ducks?
Answer: "The Secret Box", or maybe "Karate Choppers".
Yeah, definitely "Karate Choppers."
Question: I've heard the rumor for a while that the show SpongeBob Squarepants was originally made for adults. The only "proof" I've seen of this is speculation of certain episodes with supposedly "adult" jokes and the town's name being Bikini Bottom. Does anyone have legitimate proof of this being true?
Answer: The show was always intended to be for kids (with the occasional joke for the grown-ups thrown in) The name Bikini Bottom follows with the theory that all of the characters in the show are able to speak because of an atomic blast, as the first atomic tests were conducted near the Bikini Islands...Bikini Bottom, meaning the bottom of the ocean at the Bikini Islands.
Actually this theory has been debunked in the show. Firstly, there are caveman versions of Spongebob and Patrick in the episode "SB-129" and Middle ages versions in "Dunces and Dragons." Also Tom Kenny (the voice of Spongebob, and sometimes Gary the Snail) has stated that the theory isn't true.
Question: In the movie, Mr. Krabs opens "The Krusty Krab 2" and looks like it's succeeding. But the episodes premiered after the movie came out don't show the restaurant. Did it go out of business?
Answer: Even if it did open during the TV series, we know that Mr. Krabs is extremely cheap and might have not wanted to pay taxes.
Question: At the end of the episode with the Hash-Slinging Slasher, what do Spongebob, Squidward, and the Hash Slinging Slasher say to the vampire that was turning the lights on and off?
Answer: They say Nosferatu. That's the name of the vampire that was turning the lights off. He appeared in the 1922 movie of the same name.
Question: In "Spongebob vs. the Big One", at one point, the Flying Dutchman is in Davey Jones' Locker. While there, an old man comes out (not animated, a real person), he says something to the Flying Dutchman, then "Daydream Believer" by the Monkees starts playing. Is he supposed to be one of the Monkees or something?
Answer: He is indeed--he was lead singer of the Monkees and his name (of course!) is Davy Jones.
Question: Where can I download the mp3 file of "Back In Encino"?
Chosen answer: It's not available officially on any of the released albums. Google is your friend in this instance.
Question: In "I'm With Stupid", can someone explain to me who those people were who thought they were Patrick's parents, and how they knew to show up, and knew everything about Patrick?
Answer: I had originally posted this as a mistake before being corrected. My own opinion aside, there is no real evidence to how they knew about Patrick. Its all I think meant to add to the stupidity of starfish in the show. Not only do the fake parents not even have kids but Patrick didn't even realise they were not his parents until they mentioned their names.
Question: What is the title of the episode where spongebob and patrick find themselves in the dark ages?
Chosen answer: "Dunces and Dragons".
Question: Is it ever mentioned what ocean they are in?
Answer: Judging by the French narrator, and the tropical atmosphere, I'd say they're meant to be in the Galapagos.
The Pacific Ocean is where the Bikini islands are located.
Question: In some episodes, they talk about some David Jones. Can anyone tell me who is he?
Answer: I believe you mean Davy Jones as in Davy Jones' Locker. The flying dutchman character frequently uses the reference being that its a common phrase associated with pirates. This site explains some of the origins and meanings of the phrase, Davy Jones' Locker.
Question: In regards to two of the characters, Plankton and Sandy Cheeks. I have seen all the episodes but cannot figure out a few things on them. Sandy - Can someone tell me why Sandy lives under the ocean? I know she is very smart and is a keen scientist but what exactly made her move to the bottom of the sea? She seems to miss Texas a lot and it seems strange she decided to move to the bottom of the ocean. I know it's a cartoon but what's her motive? Plankton - I understand Plankton is always trying to steal the Krabby patty secret formula but has there been a reason exactly for stealing it? Was it to try and run Krabs out of business or use it for his own restaurant?
Chosen answer: Plankton has his own restaurant that is a flop. He wants the secret formula so he can be successful and beat Mr. Krabs in business. No reasons have been given for why Sandy moved underwater. Though she is an extreme daredevil personality, so maybe she did it to be different.
In the season 4 episode "Chimps Ahoy" there's a reason given about why Sandy lives at the bottom of the sea. Sandy's three bosses from Treedome Enterprises are coming to evaluate her inventions while she's been living under water, at the bottom of the sea. If she passes she will continue to receive their funding and can stay in Bikini Bottom, but if she fails she has to go back to Texas.
Question: Does anyone know why Spongebob's and I think Patrick's voices suddenly changed after the Spongebob movie came out?
Chosen answer: Did they? They are both still voiced by the same actors, so either A. you are imagining it, or B. they changed the voices slightly to make performing them every day easier.
It's true. You can simply tell SpongeBob's voice from season 4 and onwards (in my opinion, downgradingly) changed to a higher pitch tone.
Answer: Also their voices might've changed due to their actors getting older.
Answer: I believe this is the Season 6 episode "Spongicus".
